Much like the high dining experience in the west, the number of courses can vary from a handful to more than 10. The kaiseki dinner course has been a highlight. The set was some of the best meals of my life. Definitely worth it.

The water is highly transparent and free of impurities, so it is said to be the deepest blue water surface. I'm impressed by how blue it is!😍😍😍 The blue of the sky, the white clouds, the greenery, and the blue of the lake surface are a spectacular sight. You can drive around the lake (one-way), and there are two observation decks, and if you go a little further you can see the waterfall. You should be able to see the floating islands that only appear when the new leaves are in bloom, but maybe because of the heat? There wasn't enough water to make any floating islands. You can also enjoy activities like SUP and canoeing. Stayed in Shima Onsen Toshimaya for one night, the overall experience was superb! The room was spacious and comfortable, the tatami bed was soft and comfortable to sleep on, and the best thing was that the open-air bath was right by the stream - soaking in the hot spring and listening to the gurgling water, soaking in the night and looking at the stars, the body and mind instantly relaxed. The hotel was clean, the service was considerate, and the one-night stay and two-meals were not sloppy. The dinner was exquisite and delicious, and the breakfast was also very satisfying. The public hot spring in the hotel was also great, with just the right temperature and a quiet environment. It was a good place to relax. "Old Taishi Station" looks like an archaeological site, but it is a former station! 🚃 Iron ore was once mined here, so it opened as a station for loading iron ore.
