Between going to work and advancing, I chose to go up the mountain, to Guilin's Danxia Bajiaozhai!
Danxia Bajiaozhai
China's 4A-level Scenic Spot
Guilin Danxia·Bajiaozhai, a World Natural Heritage site, National Forest Park, National Geopark, and National 4A-level Scenic Spot, has been selected as one of the 'Seven Most Beautiful Danxia in China' by 'China National Geographic' magazine. Covering more than 40 square kilometers, its main peak reaches an altitude of 818 meters and is named for the eight protruding 'feet' of its main peak. It is an excellent destination for summer retreats and winter snow viewing in the Lingnan region.
Bajiaozhai boasts four major types of Danxia landforms: Danxia peak forests, Danxia isolated peaks, Danxia peak clusters, and Danxia micro-geomorphology, which are rare in the world! The mountains are majestic and varied in shape; the terrain is powerful and imposing, with extraordinary style. There are over 130 natural and cultural attractions here, including Longji Ridge, Tearful Stone, A Thousand Years with One Kiss, Celestial Walkway, Huashan Ridge, Valley of Life and Death, Renzi Sky, Qunluo Sky Gazing, Divine Elephant Drinking Water, Dragon Head Incense, Tiangong Temple, Jianglong Hermitage, and many more, presenting a myriad of wonders. One can also see rare sights such as sea of clouds, cloud belts, cloud waves, cloud lakes, and Buddha's light, which are so spectacular that they are breathtaking, earning the area the reputation of 'The Soul of Danxia, the National Treasure.'
