Start your weekend in Sea World
This hotel is always a favourite of mine when seeking a night out in the popular area ‘Sea world’ located in Shekou, Shenzhen. The hotel is within 2 minute walking distance from the main metro entrance A, where plenty of popular eateries can be found. The hotel itself is easy to check in to and the service was quick. The hotel rooms are perfect for a couple or singles looking for a relaxing time and bath salts are even provided for the bath. The rooms are clean and during the night not much noise could be heard, however the rooms are not sound entirely proof and you will hear the screams of children and families through the wall in the morning, but this can’t be helped. This is the second time staying at this hotel and it is by far the most affordable in the area alongside top quality for a decent price. #tripblazers #fallingforfall #celebratewithtrip #hotelstay #china

The sea world area of Shekou is my favourite area in all of Shenzhen. It is the most international part of the city and contains many art installations, businesses and things to see, do and eat for locals and international visitors alike.
We visited to see the 3D forbidden palace exhibition in Shekou art exhibition Hall. There are so many good western restaurants nearby.
Many expats choose to live and work in this area of the city and there are many expat oriented groups and activities to take part in.
I would highly recommend visiting this corner of the city if you are in Shenzhen and have the chance.

Traveling exposes you to new things. For example in the Shekou area of Shenzhen these workers think nothing of doing repairs to a gateway will residents of the apartments walk in and out of the gate. As you walked under them the debris literally fell on your clothes (and head). Can't say they are not efficient, even if not vary safety concious. #happynewyear

Night scene in Shekou China near the Sea World area. Shekou was traditionally the area in this city were most of the expats lived, but that is changing now. But the views at night with the skyscrapers and lights are still Amazing. There are many Western as well as local restaurants in the Sea World area. #happynewyear

The Design Society Art Building located in Shekou, Shenzhen offers family memberships. The exhibits change and the current on highlights technology/electronics as art. Very interesting perspective and like all art makes you think. #merrychristmas

One of the most interesting things about Shekou, China is that the electrical boxes located in public places have been painted and turned into works of art. You walk down the street and, WOW, there is a take on Monet, or Van Gogh, not just a plain gray electrical box. These artist's are incredible. #merrychristmas #shekouseaworld #merrychristmas

A local fan favorite for quality low cost theater productions in English is SIS Bayside located in Shekou, China. The cast are amateurs but very talented. The setting is cozy, but professional. Usually a comedy is the production of the season. These are pictures of a zombie production. #merrychristmas

Shekou has a great boardwalk that allows you to go along the bay and enjoy the sea. You can see the boats and sealife. Entrances are near Coastal Rose Garden 3. You cannot bike on the boardwalk . Walkers and runners are welcome. #merrychristmas #shekouseaworld

Had my 79 year old Aunt visit Shekou, she loved it. We saw Dragon dancing, got her hair washed in the laydown beds, and she enjoyed helping the students practice their English at Sea World. She always wanted to travel and enjoyed ever minute of her trip. #givethanks #plum #shekouseaworld

When you travel take in the live shows if you get a chance. We were lucky enough to see the World Premiere of "We have All Been Apducted by Aliens" the last time we were in Shekou, China. The small theater is located a couple of blocks from Sea World. #givethanks #theater

In China, in Shenzhen, if you have had a drink you do not drive your car home, you call a guy on a scooter. He comes, puts his scooter in your car trunk and drives you home then takes his scooter out and drives away. Cost starts at about $15usd. What a service! Travel opens you up to a new way of doing things. #givethanks

It is all about perspective, when I saw this Christmas tree in Shekou, China I thought, "How Sad", but then a friend saw it and said "How lovely, it is bowing!". Changed my whole thought process. Now I want a bowing tree to remind me of China. Still not sure about the Fat Santa stocking. #givethanks #christmastree #shenzhentravel

Easter Brunch at 5 Chefs in Shekou, China. Fortunately for us the Easter Bunny manages to find us no matter where we travel. So does the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. So lucky to be able to make these holiday memories. And the flowers were a perfect touch, but the candy is the real star. .#givethanks #shenzhentravel #fivechefs

Not the most attractive sight but sure helpful. If you go into the local shop here in Shekou, China and buy a small item they will let you sit in a chair outside, use their WiFi and wait for your DiDi car to arrive. Business savvy. You can get 2 Coke Zero drinks for 7rmb. A bargain, when your tired and hot. #givethanks #shenzhenchina #shekou #decembertravel

Shekou is the place for party in this huge city, a lots of Latin America bars and restaurants, a lot of seafood and if you want to enjoy a beautiful sunset, the Marriott hotel located next to the sea, in their rooftop bar with nice amenities and views of both, Shekou and the sea.

Time Anchor: The Dream of Reform in Shekou
Walking into the Shekou Industrial Zone, this land that carries the historical memories of the reform and opening-up seems to float in time. The understated yet industrial buildings record the era of innovation and breakthroughs. Stepping onto the pier of Shekou Sea World, the sea breeze blows, and it feels as if you can hear the sounds of thousands of workers striving to build their dreams in the early days of reform.
The most striking feature of the Shekou Industrial Zone is the stone tablet engraved with 'Time is money, efficiency is life.' The brief words contain the powerful spirit of the era. Walking along the streets, it is easy to see that the factories of the past have now become creative parks, and the once-busy port has transformed into a modern urban oasis, showcasing the blend of old and new.
As the sun sets, the sea in Shekou glistens with golden waves. This place is not only the birthplace of industry but also a testing ground for reform, full of infinite possibilities. Every step echoes history and is also a prelude to the future.

Have you ever been to the richest district in the country?
Once there was a popular saying: If you haven't been to Beijing, you don't realize how low your official rank is; if you haven't been to Shenzhen, you don't realize how little money you have. Shenzhen is China's first Special Economic Zone, a significant symbol of reform and opening-up, and a pioneer of the strategy 'let some people get rich first.' Among its areas, Shekou in Shenzhen is known as the richest district in the country. Once a place for stowaways, it has now become an area of luxury houses. Have you ever been there? Shekou generally refers to the area within the China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone, which is under the jurisdiction of Shekou Subdistrict and Merchants Subdistrict in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southeastern part of the Nantou Peninsula in Shenzhen, facing Shenzhen Bay to the east and the Pearl River Estuary to the west, across the sea from Yuen Long and Lau Fau Shan in Hong Kong's New Territories, belonging to Nanshan District, covering an area of 10.85 square kilometers. As a symbolic area of Shenzhen's reform and opening-up, Shekou has retained the marks of this era from its factories to the port, and now to the commercial district. Shekou is the pearl of Shenzhen's Nanshan District, and today's Shekou is the richest district in the country.

The most romantic route in Shekou, Shenzhen, with a nanny-level guide
In the fast-paced Shenzhen, Shekou, nestled between mountains and sea, is a unique existence. Walking on the streets of Shekou, it feels as if time slows down. Artistic + romantic + chill, this route has been personally tested as the best, with a nanny-level guide, just save this article and you're set!
1⃣ Overall route: Nanhai E-Cool Creative District—G&G Creative Community—Sea World Plaza—Sea World Art Center (Seaside Promenade)
2⃣ Half a day is enough, with a total distance of 8-9000 steps, stroll leisurely, neither too slow nor too fast
3⃣ Time: It's best to start around 4 pm, reaching the seaside just in time for dusk. This time period is not too sunny, offers the best experience, and the light is soft, making photos look good
👉👉👉Detailed itinerary👉👉👉
1⃣ Take the Metro Line 2 to Sea World Station, exit C, preferably around 4 pm. Cross the road, about 3-500 meters, and you'll arrive at Nanhai E-Cool
2⃣ Nanhai E-Cool is a creative district with various styled shops, coffee shops, dessert shops. It's great for walking around and taking photos
3⃣ Exit Nanhai E-Cool and follow Liyuan Road for about 800 meters to reach G&G Creative Community.
Along the way, the streets are shaded by green trees, quiet and full of life, perfect for a walk
G&G Creative Community is a renovated old factory building, very stylish, with various shops and exhibitions. It's great for taking photos, walking kids, and just sitting and chatting comfortably. Pet-friendly.
4⃣ Return from G&G and follow Taizi Road to Sea World Plaza, about 1.2km. Along the way, you'll encounter a 130-year-old banyan tree, where you can sit and rest. By this time, it's nearly dusk, walking on Taizi Road with a cool breeze accompanying you, you'll feel very pleasant
5⃣ After passing Sea World Plaza, you'll reach the Sea World Art Center. The building itself is worth seeing, and there are often exhibitions inside. Passing through the art center, you'll reach the seaside, where there are outdoor coffee shops
It's recommended to have a cup of coffee here, with the sky still showing the afterglow of sunset, and the moon rising from the sea
6⃣ By now, you must be hungry! It's suggested to walk back to the Sea World Station exit C, where there's a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant that's quite good, known for its 'fair, pretty, and straight' quality. The 'soulful rice', 'piggy milk tea', and a few dozen yuan can comfort the fatigue of half a day
After eating, you can directly enter the subway to return!

Guangdong Travel | Off-the-beaten-path seaside spots for city walks
The first trip of the New Year has to be to see the sea.
The first stop, I chose Zhanjiang, known as the 'southernmost point of mainland China'.
Just wander into an alley, have some tea first, then stroll around.
The breeze on Chikan Old Street and the sunset at Jinsha Bay Beach
are the exclusive 'hidden' romance of this small city.

Shenzhen is a city I really like, young, modern, and full of artistic places.
Shekou is a very artistic spot to see the sea.
It's not commercialized and noisy like Dameisha or Xiaomeisha.
Facing Hong Kong across the sea,
here you have the Shekou Sea World Art Center, many petty-bourgeois coffee shops, and a lighthouse that's great for taking pictures.
Have a meal here, take a walk, see an exhibition, and enjoy a relaxing city walk.
It's very relaxing. I've scouted all the photo spots for everyone 👆 Check out the spots in my pictures and start shooting~
This trip was made with the China Express Airlines 1999 Chongqing round-trip card I bought before.
Flying from Chongqing to Zhanjiang, then driving to Shenzhen.
There are 40+ destinations to choose from for redemption, and for someone who likes to see the sea like me,
the next destination is ready to be Beihai~

City Walk|From Zhanjiang to Shenzhen, facing HK across the sea
Recently purchased China Airlines 1️⃣9️⃣9️⃣9️⃣Six times✈️Activities are available in ✈️4️⃣0️⃣multiple cities
Departing from Chongqing, the first stop was Zhanjiang, Guangdong.
Avoid the heat of the "secret corners" and avoid the crowds
What I saw was the most pristine appearance of this treasure town.
When the weather is nice, any photo taken here is very impressive.
Every sunset can make people feel more relaxed

Then we drove to Shenzhen by ourselves
The first thing is to run to the beach🏖️
Found the Shekou Port closest to the airport
I have been to Shenzhen several times, but this is the first time I have visited Shekou Port.
There is a coastal route called Wanghai Road, facing Hong Kong across the sea, which is very suitable for city walks.
There are cafes, food courts, and art galleries on the beach.
Perfect for a relaxing afternoon

Puppy Plan
The birth of "PETITREE" originates from the carrier of multiple languages, from the change of lips and teeth, and eventually becomes an independent individual's interpretation, becoming the starting point of our exploration of life and art in space.
French 'Petit', means small. The small, is the subtlety of things.
In the dimensions of time and physics, we are all extremely microscopic.
The small helps us to perceive ourselves, to cherish expression.
The latter part of the neologism "PETITREE" comes from the environment around our space, these dense and robust growths provide solid and reliable energy for our sensitive insights. Therefore, we have a certain weight on the value of materials, make choices on the understanding of space, and are able to produce freely and vividly.
The space's first exhibition 'Puppy Plan', which is the good friends plan, is inspired
by the companion dogs by my side;
Their sincerity and love they bring to me, always have similarities with the feelings brought by art.
