Sharing my first-ever solo travel experience in Shanghai for 3 nights and 4 days. I visited various recommended spots such as The Bund, Wukang Mansion, Anfu Road, Yuyuan Pedestrian Street, Rock Bund, and the area around the Oriental Pearl Tower. Getting around was super convenient with the metro system that connects the entire city. Ticket prices start at just 2 yuan (about 10 baht), making transportation very affordable. Every restaurant I tried served delicious food—whatever I picked turned out to be tasty. While language might be a slight barrier, Google Translate and some hand gestures can help you communicate effectively. The locals are friendly and welcoming, often trying to converse with you. Even if they don't understand the language, they respond with smiles and laughter, making the interactions enjoyable.

If you go to Shanghai🇨🇳 and don't go here, it's like you haven't been here. This is Yuyuan Garden, a pedestrian street in Shanghai that you can walk on both day and night. It can be walked by anyone from children to the elderly. 👶🏻👨🏻🦳 There's so much stuff!!! 🥟 Don't even mention the food. Go here, walk 2 steps and you'll find a Xiaolongbao shop, a famous barbecue shop, and many other Michelin-starred restaurants. 🥡 There are souvenirs, toys, and clothes!!!! The 100-year-old market or Chenwangmiao Market (陈王庙) is an ancient market in Pudong, Shanghai. Therefore, the shops have beautiful architecture in the ancient Chinese style, making it a charming market in every corner. It is perfect for photography lovers. But be careful of the crowds. The market has restaurants, clothes, souvenirs, souvenirs, toy stores, and collectibles. I personally bought some snacks as souvenirs, thinking I would buy some to take home. What a fantastic street and area - the buildings and layout make it feel really authentic and a great insight into the historical city. It’s a shame that so many of the shops now sell plastic tourist ‘tat’ but there’s still plenty of interesting stores along the way and fortunately none of the sellers are pushy or encouraging you in anywhere. Although it is somewhat commercialised I didn’t find it too much to remove any of the charm or atmosphere. Admiring the buildings in this entire area is a fascinating experience. It’s also central in the city to be in the perfect location for exploring other great sights, so there really isn’t an excuse for not passing through; it certainly was one of the highlights of my visit! #shanghaitrip

Actually it has been quite a while since I have gone to the Bund, but we made a sudden plan to go in search of the famous 🐈 cat murals 🎨 in Shanghai old street as recommended by one of our friends. But unfortunately, those mural walls 🧱 are covered for restoration. As we were feeling down, the sight of Shanghai tower with setting sun 🌞 kissing the glossy buildings brought the total delight and wooed us to the default-crowded 😁 Bund arena. If it’s your first time in Shanghai and you’re looking for a beautiful and picturesque location to snap some photos, it’s definitely worth coming here. That being said, it’s for sure a tourist destination and everything from food to souvenirs are incredibly overpriced.
