We travelled to JB over the weekend, again! This time, we decided to go explore cafes/eateries nearby KSL mall. Seven Oaks Cafe is one of the cafes on our long list - it is quite a renowned bakery that sells not only bread but also brunch. There were many choices and it was tempting to try them all! As a starter, we ordered crab meat croissant and pistachio cromboloni to satisfy our rumbling stomachs while waiting for the mains. The croissant boasted a rich flavour but it was disappointing that the crab meat was processed. On the other hand, the crombolini was really delicious with each bite bursting with delightful pistachio flavour. I ordered it out of curiosity because I had never seen or tried it before and no regrets! For the mains, we ordered fried chicken waffle and shakshouka. The chicken was crispy with tender meat but I wished the waffle could be less dense. The shakshouka, however, was very good. Shakshouka was a dish of poached eggs simmered in tomato and vegetables sauce paired with pita bread. The impeccable blend of spices enhances the tomato's tangy flavour without overpowering it - brilliant! Overall, the food is good, the coffee is authentic, and the ambience is great for a quiet afternoon lunch or tea. It is 2 levels, there is an outdoor seating on the 2nd lvl & gets pretty crowded on weekends/holidays. The food is nice. Especially their pastries & coffee. I always order their Iced Mocha. #getgoing2025 Visiting cafes will never be missing in my agenda whenever going to places. And when you're in JB Malaysia, cafes may be the sole purpose of your visit. Cafes also serve as respite from daily work grind but may also be a location for where you work for a change of atmosphere. Seven Oaks Bakery Cafe is a bakehouse and restaurant that has a wide menu. The exterior of the cafe is something you wont miss. And once your inside, the furnishings and plant decor builds an atmosphere conducive for laidback dining. I also believe the space is perfect for work as the staff are friendly. Upon entering you'll be greeted by displays of available pastries of different types. I honestly had a hard time choosing. My friend and I decided to get 1 savory item, 1 pastry, and a drink each since we haven't eaten breakfast. I ordered a salmon bagel, 1 peanut & butter crombolini, and 1 iced chocolate. Overall, I was happy with what I ordered as it was definitely filling.
