Seoul City Hall is a historic landmark dating from the Japanese colonial period. It has been preserved as a remainder of that darker historic period but also as a testament of Seoul and Korea's resilience and presrverance. Entry to the old city hall is free and actually there's a functional library inside. On the upper levels you'll find preserved rooms and details on their functions and history. It's quite interesting and informative and you can easily spend an entire afternoon roaming through its many rooms and floors. On the rooftop there's a lovely garden with very nice views of the city. There are seats there so you can definitely relax and admire the city from atop. #history

Blue Bottle Samcheong An American cafe with many branches in Seoul. This time, we will take you to the Samcheong branch, which is near Bukchon Village, a popular tourist attraction. This branch is the first branch of Blue Bottle in South Korea. The highlight of the shop is the distinctive building design, which is beautiful for taking pictures. The interior of the shop has 3 floors. The 1st and 2nd floors are where you can order coffee (the espresso bar is on the 2nd floor). The 3rd floor is a slow bar with an outdoor terrace where you can sit and relax in the breeze. There is no need to talk about the coffee because it is already good and up to Blue Bottle's standards. However, there are many souvenirs such as various types of cups and cute bags that are worth spending money on. They are sold on the 1st floor. I recommend you take a look. Wynyard Seongsu Pin this as the first shop that you must visit. The shop is beautiful, cool, and the atmosphere looks very expensive. But what I like the most is the coffee service because the shop lets us choose coffee beans (espresso will have one set of beans to choose from, and filter will have another set). The name of the restaurant is 압구정 칼삼겹살 Apgujeong Kalsamgyeopsal. The pork belly here is very delicious. I ate it and didn't feel greasy at all because the restaurant provided salt for dipping. Seoul City Hall - A governmental building for the Seoul Metropolitan Government in South Korea. It is located in Taepyeongno, Jung-gu, at the very heart of Seoul. It is connected to City Hall Station (Seoul) on Seoul Subway Line 1, with access to Seoul Subway Line 2 from the same station. The new building stands out architecturally, and the old city hall building is located in front of the new building. Now the old building is Seoul Metropolitan Library, and Seoul Plaza. There is a small museum downstairs I wanted to checkout and I was not disappointed at all. An old lady welcomed me with a big smile on her face in the museum and told me about the history of the city and the old and new city hall buildings. When I asked her how much should I pay she said that it is free as she is a volunteer. I simply love this area and I was here many times already. I cannot recommend to come here on the weekend or during public holiday. But please keep in mind that asian Cities are crowded sometimes. That's the way it is. If there is a beautiful spot you will never be the only person who will find it. You can of course avoid the crowds. The best time for a relaxed visit will be weekdays from 10 am to 4 pm. You can stroll around in small alleys with cute boutiques, 3rd wave coffeeshops, restaurants and korean teashops like a branch of the famous Osuloc teahouse. very beautiful palace even though it has very sad history. when it was colonization, Japanese changed the use of this palace. from a palace to a zoo&botanic garden. most of palaces were destroyed and demolished but this palace still has very beautiful appearance. A beautiful place and a palace. It was the second palace I visited in Seoul. On a large terrain you can forget that you are in the center of the city. This place is magical. It is a must see if you enjoy architecture or even art. The curves and shapes are amazing. I went at sunset so I got light shapes and then the night lights.
