I'll tell you about a good restaurant near the Arts Center.
I often go to the Arts Center to see performances, and there are a few restaurants and cafes where I can spend time before the performance.
'Terarosa Arts Center Branch'
Terarosa, located on the first floor of the Arts Center, is a popular place. It's located inside the Arts Center, so it's close, and since Terarosa is famous for its coffee, the coffee is guaranteed to be delicious. Americano is a bit expensive at 5,000 won, but Royal Earl Grey is only 5,000 won..!
If you order Royal Earl Grey, it comes with a tea bag in a sky blue teapot and a pretty cup. The amount is huge, and the taste is also great. I can't believe I can enjoy this much black tea for 5,000 won in downtown Seoul!
The amount and taste are enough to spend time chatting after the performance.
• Address: 2406 Nambusunhwan-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul (1st floor of the Seoul Arts Center)
• Atmosphere/Facilities: Low-light lighting and clean black interior
• Special reason: Terrarosa is famous for its coffee, but its black tea is also excellent
• Average price per person: 5,000 won
• Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
'Little by Little'
If you want to fill your stomach before a performance, I recommend Little by Little.
It is a clean cafe with a white-toned interior located right across from the Seoul Arts Center.
Not only Americano, but also various drinks such as Einspanner, smoothie, and fruity are priced at 4,000-5,000 won, so it is not a burden, and if you order a panini with an Americano, you get a 1,000 won discount!
• Address: 7 Nambusunhwan-ro 325-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul (across from Hangaram Art Museum)
• Atmosphere/Facilities: Clean and calm interior
• Special reason: Very close to the Seoul Arts Center
• Average price per person: 7,000 won
• Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
'Katsuo'
Even Mt. Geumgang is better after a meal, so you should fill your stomach before watching a performance, right?
If you go one stop from Nambu Terminal Station, you will reach Gyodae Station. Katsuo is located 5 minutes from Gyodae Station.
Koshihikari rice, aged sauce, and homemade breadcrumbs!
I ordered Jeju black pork tenderloin cutlet and sirloin cutlet. The wasabi that came with the sauce was really a godsend. If you mix wasabi with the sauce and dip the tonkatsu in it, it is really refreshing and you can keep eating tonkatsu without getting tired of it.
The portion was bigger than I thought, so I couldn't eat it with draft beer, but I think it would be a fantastic combination if I had it with draft beer!
• Address: 21 Seochojungang-ro 20-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul (Exit 13 of Gyodae Station)
• Atmosphere/Facility: Clean Japanese interior
• What makes it special: Homemade pork cutlet, homemade sauce, and wasabi sauce.
• Average price per person: 13,000 won
• Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
