Seoraksan National Park is a national park located in the north of South Korea. It takes about 3 hours to get there by express bus from Seoul. Seoraksan is called Seolsan and Seolbongsan, and it is called Seorak because the snow does not melt for many years. Seorak Mountain spans four cities and counties including Sokcho, Inje, Goseong and Yangyang. With Daecheongbong at an altitude of 1,708 meters as the center, the east (Sokcho City, Goseong-gun, Yangyang-gun) is called Waiseorak, and the west (Inje-gun) is Naeseorak. Seoraksan has strange rocks and pine trees, forests of various tree species, large waterfalls, streams running through long and narrow valleys, mysterious ancient temples, and pure air. You can enjoy Danfeng in autumn and white snow in winter. The scenery is pleasant all year round. Whether you’re taking a cable car ride or opting for a hike up a valley with a breathtaking view of the rocky cliffs, there are a variety of routes to choose from, offering you a variety of natural beauty. There are four entrances to Seoraksan Mountain, of which Xinxingsa Temple in Sokcho City is the most famous. The other three entrances are the five-seed area in Yangyang County, the Baekdamsa Temple in Inje County and the area around the General Hall. If you are not a dedicated climber, it is generally recommended to visit the outer Seorak area. The starting point is the Seorak-dong Visiting Support Center (that is, the entrance to the gate of "Seoraksan Xinxing Temple"). There is a standard sculpture of Seorak bear at the entrance. Take pictures. You can choose a half-day or one-day hiking itinerary, or of course you can just stroll in the park, take photos, and enjoy the surrounding scenery. The Seorak-dong Visiting Support Center provides guidebooks in Chinese and English as well as mountaineering maps in Korean. In addition, there are staff on duty here for a long time, so you can come to consult if you have any questions. If you want to take the cable car to the top of Jincheng Mountain, remember to buy the cable car ticket first. Generally, if you go to buy the ticket after 10:00 in the morning, you will basically only be able to take the cable car after 12:00 noon. It is recommended to choose Tickets for the cable car at 1 or 2 pm, so that you can climb a route first, and then come back to take the cable car to visit Quanjin City. Due to the large area of Seorak Mountain, most tourists generally do not choose to climb Daqing Peak. Most of them only walk around the outer Seorak area. They walk near Shenxing Temple, take the cable car to the top of Quanjin City to overlook the scenery, and then Take a tour of Ulsan Rock, Biryong Falls, Thousand Buddha Caves and more. If you are in Namseorak, the destination of tourists is generally the five-color potion hot spring or the fairy soup waterfall. Generally, short-distance tourists like to go to areas with low altitudes. Therefore, we recommend a simple route with beautiful scenery along the way: Xinxing Temple - Feilong Waterfall - Quanjincheng - Feixiantai - Ulsan Rock, basically one day. In addition, if you have time, you can also visit attractions such as Mahayana Waterfall, Kongo Cave, and Baekdam Temple. Introduction to the main attractions: Xinxing Temple Xinxing Temple is very incense. There is a bronze Buddha in the temple, called the Unified Buddha. It is the largest bronze Buddha statue in the world, with a height of 14.6 meters. There are 16 Arhat statues praying for unity on the pedestal, which are exquisitely carved. Local Koreans often come here to worship, and people place their desire for unity here. Feilong Waterfall The sound of water in Feilong Waterfall is deafening, like a giant dragon leaping into the air, hence the name. The path leading to Feilong Waterfall runs through the pine forest and is suitable for strolling. There is a Feilong Bridge in Shuangchuan in the lower reaches of the Qianfodong Valley. After crossing the bridge and walking left for 30 minutes, you will arrive at Liutan Waterfall, which is formed by 6 waterfalls and deep pools. Up 300 meters (about 20 minutes) from here, you can see the Feilong Waterfall, which is more than 150 feet long between the narrow and steep valley cliffs. Quanjincheng Quanjincheng is located in the small park of Seorak Mountain, an ancient city ruins in the steep mountain. Legend has it that the two generals, Kwon and Kim, built this city to avoid war, so it is called Kwon Kim Castle. You can walk to Quanjincheng through Feilong Bridge on the left side of the small park, but it takes more than an hour to walk on a steep rocky road. It is also very convenient to take a cable car. Many tourists who come to Seorak Mountain like to take it. There are more than 80 landscapes in the high place of Quanjincheng, such as the rock, the lost platform, and the bell tower, overlooking the entire East China Sea and Sokcho City. In the west, there are various forms of strange rocks and rocks in Seorak Mountains, such as Dinosaur Ridge, Tianpodae, Madan Ridge, and Zhuxiang Ridge. You can also enjoy them together. Feixiantai The route of Feixiantai is relatively gentle and easy to walk. It can go up to Daqing Peak of Seorak Mountain. However, in order to prevent wildfires and other reasons, the route after Feixiantai is often under control. From the front of Feixiantai, you can see a huge rock lying on the peak. It takes 30-40 minutes to walk from Feixiantai to King Kong Cave. Ulsan Rock Ulsan Rock consists of 6 granite peaks with a circumference of 4 kilometers. When you climb Ulsan Rock, you can see not only Daecheongbong but also a panoramic view of Ososeorak. The Ulsan Rock at an altitude of 873 meters is surrounded by sheer cliffs, which is quite spectacular. On the way to Ulsan Rock, you can also see sights such as Shake Rock.
