4 Days 3 Nights Island Walk | Slow Travel in Singapore
I visited Singapore twice in 2016 and 2017,
just like most tourists,
I only had a quick tour of Sentosa Island.
So this time, I dedicated all 4 days and 3 nights to Resorts World Sentosa,
for an in-depth visit to this one-stop holiday destination.
If you also want to experience an island-style vacation without the intensity of a military training,
I strongly recommend you to allocate more time for Sentosa Island‼️
📅4 Days 3 Nights Itinerary
D1 Shanghai✈️Singapore
Arrive in the afternoon, head to Resorts World Sentosa, check into the hotel
D2 S.E.A. Aquarium, Universal Studios
D3 Adventure Cove Waterpark (Dolphin Island)
D4 Stroll around Street No. 8 and Marina Bay area for souvenirs, head to the airport, if time allows, visit the popular waterfall in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands near Terminal 1, ✈️back to Shanghai
🎫Tickets for S.E.A. Aquarium can be combined with a one-day pass to Dolphin Island in Adventure Cove Waterpark; Universal Studios also offers a joint one-day pass with Adventure Cove Waterpark
You can mix and match according to your preferences. The attractions are not large, and half a day for each is ample. They are also close to each other and can be reached on foot.
🏨Inside Resorts World Sentosa, there are six high-end luxury accommodations: Michael, Festive, Equarius, Hard Rock, and Crockfords Tower Hotels & Villas. They are all close to the attractions, and each has its unique room types. My personal favorites are the Ocean Suites and TreeTop Lofts!
🍴For dining, you can go to Street No. 8, which offers a variety of international cuisines. For more affordable options, you can visit the Malaysian Food Street at the entrance of Universal Studios, similar to the food courts in China, with many snacks.
🌃In the evening, you can take the MRT to the city to see the night view. The most recommended spots are the iconic Merlion and Gardens by the Bay. Additionally, Chinatown is great for a stroll and a late-night snack, where fridge magnets are very cheap, 2 Singapore dollars each! (Starting from 13 Singapore dollars in the Aquarium...)
🚇Transportation to Sentosa Island
MRT: The most convenient and fastest way
Bus: Bus route 123 goes directly there
Cable Car: Slower, but offers a scenic view on a clear day
Walking: I took the MRT to get there and walked back 8 years ago, the night view was quite beautiful
Taxi: About a 25-minute ride from Changi Airport, more expensive
💡Other tips
💰Most areas accept mobile payments, but vendors and small shops only take cash, so it's advised not to exchange too much money.
📶You can buy a data SIM card in advance in your home country, based on the number of travel days. Generally, 1GB per day is enough, and rooms have free wifi.

Explore the urban landscape of Singapore and enjoy the enchanting destinations! Day 2
On the second day, sunshine🌞, beaches🏖️, and surfing🏄♂️ await you in Singapore! Sentosa, a resort island, is renowned for its pristine beaches, family-friendly attractions, and thrilling, vibrant experiences. The island boasts three unique beaches, whether it's the tranquil Tanjong Beach or the bustling Siloso Beach, both are worth a visit! So why not take a break and have a cocktail at the Tanjong Beach Club, basking in the sun?🍹☀️
Sentosa Island
The next day, why not experience Universal Studios Singapore? This theme park creates a fantastic movie world with various exciting and fun rides, spread across seven movie-themed zones. Among them, the Open Ocean Habitat at S.E.A. Aquarium™ is an absolute must-see! It features the world's largest viewing panel, measuring 36 meters wide and 8.3 meters tall, making you feel as if you're in the deep sea!🌊🐠
Universal Studios Singapore
Besides Universal Studios, you can also visit the S.E.A. Aquarium™ to embark on a magnificent journey through the underwater world! Through the glass walls, you will admire 100,000 marine creatures from the deep sea. Witness the predatory prowess of sharks in the Shark Seas Habitat; or immerse yourself in the wondrous marine realm displayed in the Open Ocean Habitat.🦈🌊
If you're feeling peckish by now, head to Quayside Isle for a meal! This tranquil waterfront dining area offers a variety of cuisines, from the authentic Greek food at Mykonos on the Bay to the Chinese fusion dishes at Blue-Lotus Chinese Grill House, there's something for everyone! Sure to satisfy your taste buds!🍽️😋
Quayside Isle
As night falls, the Night Safari just begins its wild life! As the world's first nocturnal zoo, it houses over 130 different species, from the Malayan tiger to the Indian rhinoceros! There are four walking trails in the park, each allowing you to get up close and personal with these amazing creatures. If you're feeling a bit tired after a day's itinerary, we suggest taking a ride on the park's guided tram. During the 35-minute ride, you'll travel through seven different habitats within the Night Safari, giving you a better appreciation of the animals' lives.🦁🌙

Sentosa Island, hailed as the world's most enchanting island!
Sentosa Island is known as the world's most enchanting island, with the reputation of 'Fun Jewel'. There are three named beaches on the island, each with its own unique features.

You can find the Siloso Beach on the west and the Palawan Beach on the east, as well as the Skyline Luge Sentosa, all available here.

Take the advice, when visiting Singapore, you must check out this new attraction
✅ The 'Sentosa Heartbeat' which was built at the cost of nearly a small goal after demolishing the Merlion, finally opened to tourists on March 14th, and the key point is it's 🆓🤪
‼️ 'Sentosa Heartbeat' is a walkway about 350 meters long, and it is the main passage connecting Sentosa's Resorts World and the beaches🌉.
‼️ With six uniquely designed sensory gardens, relying on 𝐀𝐈 + 𝐀𝐑 technology, it integrates nature, architecture, and technology to stimulate a multi-sensory experience. The interplay of light and shadow, and AR technology transported me into the worlds of the ocean🌊 and forest🌳, giving me the chance to dance with fish🐟 and butterflies🦋!
✅ Interactive lighting time: 7:50pm-9:40pm
🚇 Transportation: Take the MRT Purple Line NE1 or Yellow Line CC29 to Harbourfront station, exit at Vivo City, go up to the third floor, and take the Sentosa Express to Imbiah station.
‼️ During the day, you can visit Sentosa's Resorts World or Universal Studios, but the 'Heartbeat of Sentosa' at night is the soul

Great time at HyperDrive @ Sentosa
#singapore
It's quite a state-of-the-art facility with well-maintained electric go-karts for all age groups.
Kids under 1.4m will have their own race.
You cannot get the 50kmph karts until you have proven yourself in the track. If you can clock 34.5s or below with the 30kmph kart, you can try the 50kmph one.
The space is huge and equipment are new. Ample seating area for viewers too.
Safety briefing, central speed control, crash helmets are a must for all.
Track itself was filled with turns, a lot of steering work but it was fun. Definitely worth the money!
Overall good experience for rookie drivers for driving fun👍
There’s also a small cafe which serves light bites, full meals and drinks.

Affordable local eats at Sentosa
If you’re on a budget while on holiday in Singapore, meals at Sentosa island need not cost a bomb. Look for this restaurant called Good Old Days near the Siloso beach monorail station for affordable and tasty local food. Having eaten here a few times, the different dishes I order never fail to be flavourful and satisfying, while showcasing our local food culture. The consistent dish my family will order is the Hokkien mee, gotta try that one!

A treat for your senses
Visiting the island of Sentosa comes with lots of fun activities to do! This unique shop called Scentopia offers mini workshops about all things related to the sense of smell. They sell fragrances made from the plants and trees on the island itself as a tribute to their roots. We attended one where we got to explore the different profiles of scents and for a fee, created our own customised scent for our perfumes. Super interesting and tailor-made!

Birthday staycation
#mysgmemories
We chose to enjoy a Mediterranean-style dinner at the peaceful Quayside Isle on Sentosa Cove, with an idyllic view of numerous private boats and yachts docked in the water🛥️
Upon returning to our hotel room that night, a very pleasant surprise greeted our eyes. The hotel staff had placed a complimentary cake, complete with a birthday card, on the table 😍 Not just one or two slices, but an entire cake! 🥰 It didn’t take us long to finish this delicious dessert from @annabellapatisserie 😋😋😋 with accompanying curated teas from the hotel.
Thank you SO MUCH @theoutposthotel for your wonderful hospitality & thoughtful gestures! Our birthday staycation this year has definitely been made a more memorable one kudos to your efforts ❤️

Sentosa Grill Festival 2023
#mysgmemories
We came across Sentosa Grill Festival while we are at Siloso beach. It is part of the food festival that stretches over 3km.
As the name says, grill fest is all about grilled food, next to the beach under the sparkly sky and fairy lights with long tables and benches for all festival goers.
Yes this also means it’s held at night! To fit the weather of Singapore you will avoid the sun.
There are more than 30 stores selling grill and barbecue food from different countries.
Some of them has such extensive set up! Such as special equipment or grills, which is such a rare sight in bazaars in Singapore.

Each ride is about 12 minutes, where the peak last about 10 minutes. You can dangle your feet in the air and enjoy the uplifting experience with a cool drink in hand. Mai kan chiong and stay cool!
Make sure check the weather before heading there, as the operations will be halted when there is heavy rain.
Good to go in the evening timing to catch the sunset!

Sentosa Grill Fest Grill Durians! ♥️♥️🇸🇬🇸🇬
Speaking of my Singapore memories, Sentosa grill fest has its place in my heart. Many people say Singapore is small and nothing to do. Well, Sentosa is like Singaporean Disney, the happiest place in Singapore!!
On top of that, there's Grillfest and grilled durian. Durian is the king of fruit. Grilled durian is something out of this world. I used to dislike durians, because it's a smelly fruit. But grilled durian doesn't smell, the heat evaporated the water and the flesh was more tender and sweet! Ever since I visited Sentosa Grill Fest in 2019, and tasted grilled durian, I can't forget the taste 😋😋😋
Happy 58 birthday Singapore! I Love Singapore! This is my Singapore memories.

Creating My Own Perfume at Scentopia
Recently, I had fun making my own perfume at Scentopia Singapore! This is one of the newer attractions at Sentosa Island. You can choose to make a 50ml or 100ml perfume based on your personality.
First, I took a personality quiz to determine my categories of scents, such as Fresh, Fruity, and Floral. Then, I smelled the scent tubes and chose the ones that I liked. Lastly, I mixed the scents myself to see if I liked the combination, using the perfume bottles that they provided.
At first, I felt that there was something missing with my scent, so I added more refreshing scent to make it less heavy.
Once I was happy with my scent, the staff helped me to mix the actual bottle of perfume. Highly recommended if you ever want to personalize your own scent! It’s a nice activity to do with your friends and family! Recommended to book in advance.

Enjoying a quiet beach atmosphere on Sentosa
Sentosa Island is the place locals choose to get away from it all. Here you'll find beaches, cultural activities, and various attractions.
Sentosa Island has 3 little beaches, perfect for a dip: Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong. Between them, they cover a total of 3.2 km of coastline.
In Palawan Beach, you'll find the suspension bridge that takes you to the southernmost tip of the Asian continent. These beaches are artificial and cut off from the ocean by dykes, so you won't find too
many waves! The beaches are well kitted out, with toilets, showers, lockers and even wireless internet.
And to get from one beach to the next, you can use the free tram that goes along the coast.
