Mihara Station on the Sanyo Shinkansen is the site of the main citadel of Mihara Castle. There is a stone wall under the station overpass. I was excited to think, "Oh, Sanjo Sanetomi sat here too!" ·͜· ♡ The Nakamura family originally made their fortune selling "Homeishu," a medicinal sake invented by a Chinese medicine doctor from Osaka. The large storehouse is well preserved in a very impressive tatami room. It's also great that the attendant will give you a brief history explanation when you enter. I was surprised at how modern the earthen floor and ceiling were. Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture Blow away all your worries [Ushiroyama Park East Observatory] Location: 252-89 Notohara, Numakuma-cho, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture We were blessed with fine weather, so we sped off to Ushiroyama Park. It's located at a moderate climb up the mountain. There were a lot of people touring there. We parked our car in the large parking lot, and after climbing a few stairs, we reached the observation deck. The view from the observation deck was spectacular! You can see the Seto Inland Sea. You'll forget about time. Nature is the best after all. It was refreshing. There is also a cafe inside the store. They also serve breakfast and lunch, but I was weak to the word "limited time", so I was interested in the double nut caramel latte and ordered it hot. During a business trip to Hiroshima, I went to an amusement park near my hotel on Sunday. I got a free admission ticket from the hotel. Miroku-no-Sato is an amusement park with attractions, a facility called "Dinosaur Park" that is like a dinosaur version of a haunted house, and even a facility called "The Road We Came From Somewhere," which is like a retro Showa-era movie set. This is Fukuyama Castle, towering in front of Fukuyama Station. This year marks the 400th anniversary of the castle's construction, and it has been renovated and completed. This shop opened on March 18th this year. KIMITOWHIP. This is the first genuine premium Taiwanese castella specialty store to arrive in Hiroshima from Omotesando, Tokyo. They have three flavors: plain, Uji matcha, and coffee. You can choose between a whole or half cake. They also have off-cuts. It's very simple and easy to choose. It feels sophisticated. I ordered the classic plain cake in a whole cake. "We use domestic eggs, which are sweet and rich, produced by contracted farmers who are particular about the feed and how they are raised. It is a modern castle built by Katsunari Mizuno, who transferred from Yamatokoriyama as a lord of 100,000 koku of Bingo due to the deprivation of Masanori Fukushima, the lord of Aki and Bingo in 1619. At first, Katsunari was in Kannabe Castle, but he inspected the territory, selected Jokojiyama in Nogami Village as the castle site, and started construction of the castle. It was completed in August 1622, and Katsunari entered the castle on the 15th. tell them you did. It's like a compact, calm version of Onomichi. Personally, I was able to sightsee at a slower pace than Onomichi, and it was fun walking through the historic streets. As it was once home to Yoshiaki Ashikaga and aristocrats of the Muromachi Shogunate, you can enjoy quaint buildings and beautiful scenery. In recent years, Hayao Miyazaki also stayed here. I visited Tomonoura, a nostalgic port town in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, in search of beautiful scenery😊 This port town, which has been used as a location for movies and dramas, is as beautiful as rumored, and I was continuously moved☺️ The Joyato (photos 2 and 8) is the symbol of this port town. I wanted to capture this scenery!! It was a picturesque view❤︎ The first and fifth photos were taken with a telephoto lens from Io-ji Temple📸 The view from here was also spectacular🥹 The alleys a little inland from the port are very nostalgic (photo 7). This is a Rinzai sect temple of the Kenninji school in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. In the vast grounds, you can see the architectural beauty of Sen no Rikyu's restored teahouse, the temple office "Matsudo" designed by architectural historian and architect Fujimori Terunobu, and the art pavilion "Koutei" by sculptor Nawa Kohei and the creative platform "Sandwich". The art pavilion "Koutei" is a boat-shaped building wrapped in soft wood, and opened in September 2016. From the collection of 1,500 Zen paintings and calligraphy, 20 to 30 pieces are displayed in the halls on the grounds at any one time without being placed in glass cases, and the entire grounds are a museum of Zen and gardens. In the grounds, you can also enjoy "Shinshoji Udon", which has been certified as a Fukuyama brand, as well as sencha sets and matcha.
