This temple is a significant and famous temple in Onomichi, located in the southeast of Hiroshima Prefecture, surrounded by calm seas and mountains facing the Seto Inland Sea. How to get to Senkoji Temple: Simply take a local train from Hiroshima Station for about an hour to JR Onomichi Station. 1. Take a taxi from JR Onomichi Station. The taxi fare to the top of the mountain is about 800-1,000 yen. It's worth it if you come with a group. 2. Take a bus from Onomichi Station and get off at Nagae-guchi stop. 3. Walk from JR Onomichi Station. Turn left without crossing the street, then walk into the alley by the pedestrian bridge. Walk straight a bit more to enter the park area, then: 3.1 Start walking from Senkoji Park. Along the way, you will see stones engraved with ancient poems. This path is a bit steep. 3.2 Take the ropeway to enjoy the view from the top of Senkojiyama. It takes only 3 minutes.
