Historical and Cultural heritage
#timetotravel #macaulifestyle #macautrip #timetotravel #historicalplace #Cultural Macao was the first European enclave in Asia. Its colonial history started with the arrival of Portuguese tradesmen in 1557. Over the years they developed Macao into one of the major trade ports in Asia - as a stopover on the route to Japan or as part of the Silk Route by sea. Macao is also the longest-lasting and finest example of interchange between Chinese and Western civilizations. The monuments that make up this WHS are divided into two zones: The central area can be found along the Rua Direita, leading from the ancient Chinese harbour in the south to the old Christian city in the north. Major monuments here are the A-Ma temple, the Leal Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul's Church.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2023
#campingglamping #tripmoments. #trip #tripblazers #happyholidays
Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Festival) 2023,
Mid-Autumn Festival, Zhongqiu Jie (中秋节) in Chinese, also known as the Mooncake Festival or Moon Festival, is one of China's biggest holidays. The festival is a joyous celebration with family reunions, mooncakes, parades, and lanterns.
In Hong Kong and Macau, the day after the Mid-Autumn Festival is a public holiday rather than the festival date itself (unless that date falls on a Sunday, then Monday is also a holiday), because many celebration events are held at night.

Macau Post Office
#campingglamping #2023travelwish #foodie #mytripvlog #tripblazers #celebratewithtrip.
Its history dates back to the 18th century. The Macao Post building was designed taking into account the ideas of Portuguese architect Carlos Rebelo de Andrade and Chinese architect Chan Kun Pui. With colonial markings on the exterior walls, it resembles lots of constructions from Portugal in the same period, specially in big cities like Lisbon and Oporto. The Macao Post Office has several services such as normal and rapid mail, but also EMS and others. It is wide inside as well.
It’s close to a series of important sites such as the Leal Senado Building and Senado Square, but also São Domingos Market and Church, and a five-minute walk away from the Ruins of St.Paul

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (Chinese: 市政署; Portuguese: Instituto para os Assuntos Municipais) of Macau is an administrative body without political powers responsible for providing certain civic services for the special administrative region and is the successor to the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (Portuguese: Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais) which was abolished in 2019. The latter was formed to handle the functions of the former municipalities of Macau and their councils and assemblies that were abolished on 1 January 2002, slightly more than two years after Macau became a special administrative region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China. The body is under the Secretariat for Administration and Justice of the Macau government.

The building located at No. 80 in Rua das Estalagens, where the Former Chong Sai Pharmacy established by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, was built before 1892. The building is a typical shophouse. From July 1893 to early 1894, was one of the first pharmacies and clinics recorded in Macao's history with western medical services, operated by Chinese doctor. Afterwards, the house was rented out, handed over and sold several times throughout the years, even being used as a Taoist hall and later used for textile businesses.

In my 7th year here in Macau, I witnessed the yearly change of the Christmas decorations in Senado Square. If last year was pink this year motif is blue Christmas. Macau government surely put a funds for decorating and making sure that the Senado Square will be full of life and lights specially this coming holiday season. I can’t wait for the upcoming lights festival this December.
It’s one of the highlights every year here in Macau, that’s why a lot of mainlanders mostly do their trip here every holidays.

#spooktaculartrip #tripblazers #fallingforfall #campingglamping #summervacation #awesomepic #mytripvlog The square was named after the Leal Senado, a meeting place for the Chinese and Portuguese in the 16th to 18th centuries, located directly in front of the square, where Leal Senado Building stands today. In 1940, a small garden was built at the centre of the square, featuring a bronze statue of Vicente Nicolau de Mesquita standing above a stone pillar pulling out a sword. The statue was pulled down in the 12-3 incident as Mesquita was responsible for the deaths of many Qing Chinese soldiers. A fountain was built at its site and still stands today. I
