#singaporetrip Amazing place, a must visit beside Gardens By The Bay. It actually feels less man made than Gardens By The Bay. Rather low traffic on a Saturday, plus the entry price is very affordable, $5 for adults and $1 for seniors! I hope they continue to maintain at this tip top condition. Very well curated array of orchids! Spent 45 mins just walking around and taking photos. Worth the admission price and time to come to the Orchid Garden again.

The Sembcorp Cool House provides a realistic simulation of high elevation sites in the tropics, where temperatures are around 16 to 23°C. It also houses more than 1,000 orchid species and hybrids, the Sembcorp Cool House has a plant collection curated according to five biogeographical regions – Malesia, continental Southeast Asia and South Asia, Australasia, Afrotropics and the Neotropics.

Orchid species growing on the tree trunks and rocks are of Asian origins, while those flourishing on the majestic Tasmanian Tree Ferns (Dicksonia antarctica) are of American and African origins. Montane forests of the tropics have a cool climate and high rainfall throughout the year.
