After visiting several islands, I headed to the mountains of Bandung for some much-needed fresh air. It felt like a peaceful escape, and I could almost feel my body purifying itself. Bobocabin Sukawana: Eco-Luxury in Nature I stayed at Bobocabin Sukawana, Bandung, part of an Indonesian eco-hotel chain with branches in Bandung, Surabaya, and other regions. All Bobocabins are nestled in areas with outstanding natural beauty, like tea plantations, lakes, and valleys. I chose this particular one for its relatively close proximity to the Bandung high-speed train station, making it quite convenient to get to. The entire hotel is spread across the tea plantations and at the foot of the mountains, offering an incredibly quiet and comfortable ambiance. Most guests seemed to be locals enjoying a weekend escape. Around the hotel, you'll find tea garden walking trails, as well as parks and zoos to explore. The front desk can arrange BBQ sets, some vegetarian options, and simple meals. This spot is ideal for anyone from outside Indonesia looking to breathe fresh mountain air and find peace, or for those living in Indonesia (especially around Jakarta and Bandung) seeking a refreshing weekend change of scenery.
