If you sit on the bench, you will see Samgwangsa right in front of you, and the scenery of Busan Jin-gu unfolds behind you. I have been looking for places where there are no people these days, but just sitting quietly in a quiet place and looking at the scenery is so energizing 😊 ⠀ 📍 Busan Samgwangsa (Cypress Forest + Observatory) - 77, Choeupcheon-ro 43beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan ⠀ 🌲 There is a deck road next to Daeungbojeon at Samgwangsa, and various walking trails including the cypress forest. ⠀ 🌲 You can also find various photo zone signs while walking along the trail. It was very quiet because not many people know about it yet. ⠀ 🌲 I started from Seomyeon, but it's only a 5-minute drive away, so it seems like a great walking course for Busan citizens. ⠀ 🌲 You can park around Samgwangsa Temple, and there are buses, so you can easily come by walking.

#August Travel Support Event I stopped by Samgwangsa Temple during my trip to Busan. Before my trip, I was able to feel the beauty of Buddhism because Samgwangsa Temple was selected as one of the 50 most beautiful places in Korea by CNN in the United States. In particular, I visited during the May Lantern Festival and the beauty of the colorful lanterns was spectacular. I highly recommend you visit if you travel to Busan in May.

Tens of thousands of shining lotus lanterns embroider the night like stars at the Samgwangsa Temple Lantern Festival ✨ Samgwangsa is one of the three major temples in Busan, along with Beomeosa and Haedong Yonggungsa, and is very large with a congregation of about 300,000. It is widely known as the largest lantern festival in the country because of the numerous lanterns, reaching about 40,000, that are hung all over this large temple. Its splendor has also earned it a spot on CNN's '50 Beautiful Places to Visit in Korea' list. The temple is a dazzling place filled with lanterns overhead, and in addition to the basic lanterns, you can see various lanterns such as large dragons, lotus flowers, elephants, and even moving lanterns. The sight of the spacious Samgwangsa Temple and the colorful lanterns filling the space between is truly spectacular. #fallingseason I was going to pass this year, but I went on a date with my mom at Samgwangsa Lotus Lantern Festival in Busan, so I'll introduce it to you as a famous night view tour. The lighting period is just around the corner! It's okay if you remember it and visit next year, and the atmosphere will be a little different, but I think it's good to take some time this weekend and go out to the temple around your residence for a while. It's about 5.6km from home and 15 minutes away when there's no traffic, but it's not easy to get there. The two-lane access road and parking lot are narrow, so when you come near the Buddha's birthday, you have to stand an hour or two in front of 500m nearby.
