Location: Pengzhou Samadhi Zen Temple is located on Chalong Mountain in Shuangsong Village, Danjingshan Town, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. Some sources also call it Shuangsong Village, Jiulong Town.
Historical background: Samadhi Zen Temple was first built in the 13th year of Emperor Yizong of the Tang Dynasty (872 AD), and has a history of more than 1,100 years. It is a Buddhist holy place with a long history.
Alias: Because the mountain spring water here once cured the human face sore on the knee of Master Wu Da, it was named "Samadhi Water" and the locals also call it "Sanshui Temple".
Structural layout
Samadhi Zen Forest consists of three Zen temples, namely the upper, middle and lower Samadhi:
Upper Samadhi: Shuiting Temple Middle Samadhi: Zhide Temple Lower Samadhi: Anguo Temple
These three Zen temples are distributed from bottom to top, forming a unique Buddhist architectural complex. In addition, Samadhi Zen Forest also includes Zhang Song's Tomb, Thousand Buddha Rock, Stone Archway City Gate, National Master's Tomb and other landscapes, which together constitute eight major landscapes and showcase the rich Buddhist culture and historical heritage.
Restoration and Current Status
After years of integration and restoration, Samadhi Zen Temple has now restored many of its ancient buildings and facilities, including the mountain gate, pagoda forest, Holy Water Pavilion, Maitreya Hall, Great Compassion Hall, Main Hall, God of Wealth Hall, Cave of Resolving Grievances, Patriarch Hall, National Master's Hall, Breaking Barriers Pool, nursing home, and Dharma Distribution Center. These buildings are solemn and magnificent, attracting many believers and tourists to visit and pray.
Features and highlights
Arhat statues: There are 800 Arhat statues in Samadhi Zen Forest. Each Arhat statue has a different shape and expression, and the scene is very shocking.
Natural environment: Chalong Mountain, where the Zen temple is located, has dense vegetation, a quiet environment, and fresh air. It is a good place to climb the mountain, enjoy the scenery, and pray for blessings.

Opening hours: Samadhi Zen Forest is generally open all day, but the specific hours may be adjusted due to seasonal and weather changes.
Transportation: It takes about one hour and fifteen minutes to drive from downtown Chengdu.
