🇹🇭Off-the-beaten-path and mysterious attraction in Thailand - Ubon Ratchathani ||| ▪️Ubon Salachathani
Abbreviated as Ubon, located on the banks of the Mun River in eastern Thailand, although one of the main cities in Isan (northeastern Thailand), Ubon Ratchathani Province has not received enough praise for its original beauty. This city is full of hidden natural gems, largely undeveloped, with devout Buddhists, nationally preserved parks, exquisite wax carvings, candle festivals, and the Wat Thung Si Muang temple that will shine at night.
▪️Wat Phra That Phu Prao
Wat Sirindhorn Wanaram Phu Prao Temple, or simply Wat Phu Prao, is known as the "Temple of Light". The meticulously carved glowing Tree of Life on the back door of its small chapel leaves visitors in awe. The fluorescent pink seeds of the Job's Tears plant absorb sunlight during the day and emit a charming glow at night. Although the best time to see the Tree of Life is from 6pm to 8pm, the temple itself is an architectural gem and worth a visit during the day. ▪️Sam Pan Bok
Three Thousand Holes is a seasonal attraction, also known as the "Grand Canyon of Thailand". It is the largest rock reef in the Mekong River. Sam Phan Bok is a group of sandstones that are eroded by the Mekong River's streams during the rainy season, resulting in more than 3,000 Bok blocks, countless basins and pits. During the dry season from December to May, when the river water recedes, the pot hole canyon will be revealed.
▪️Moonlight waterfall
The waterfall originally belonged to the management of the Padan National Park, located 18 kilometers away from the national park. The environment is quiet and the water flows down from the stone cave above the waterfall, forming a pool below. When the light shines in from the cave entrance, it is like bright moonlight, full of fairy spirit, hence the name.
