Thailand's best off-the-beaten-path tourist destinations - Khao Yai
If you yearn to travel but don’t like crowded cities with people coming and going, there is a small tourist destination 300 kilometers away from Bangkok, Thailand that is very suitable for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle!
What I want to share with you today is Khao Yai, Thailand, which is a great place to relax. You can choose to self-drive or charter a car. My friend and I chose self-drive because we can go wherever we want and play wherever we want! For those who want to drive themselves, you only need to prepare an international driver’s license to rent a car in Bangkok!
We didn't make any plans for our 3-day, 2-night trip to Khao Yai this time, and we just went with the flow! I booked two hotels that I had wanted to stay in for a long time, Hotel Labaris Khao Yai on the first night and SALA Khaoyai on the second night. After staying in these two hotels, I sincerely recommend them! The hotel is the kind that you don't want to go out once you enter it. When the weather is hot, just go play in the water!
Day 01 - After having breakfast in Bangkok, we set off for Khao Yai. The journey took 2 hours and 30 minutes and we arrived at the first stop, Trot cafe, for a cup of coffee. Here you can also ride horses, play golf, drive antique cars, ride bicycles, etc. It is a very chill attraction! The second stop was to check in at a Michelin restaurant. There were only two Michelin restaurants, and we ate at each one on separate days. In summary, both restaurants are good and worth a try. Both restaurants are affordable. On the way back to the hotel, I stopped by the outlet mall first, hoping to help digest the food, but ended up returning disappointed! We will rest in the hotel. When we arrive at the hotel parking lot, there will be a hotel shuttle bus waiting for us, which will take us to the lobby to check in! The hotel prepared a room for us on the highest floor, except that we had to walk up the stairs, everything else was good! 😆 Since the hotel was so comfortable, everyone was stuck in bed and didn’t want to go out, so they prepared to take a rest before going for a massage! I have to say that the massage in this hotel is really comfortable, the staff's technique is very gentle and on point, it's worth it!
Day 02 - The hotel’s buffet breakfast was very rich. After breakfast, we went straight to the floating pool to play in the water. As adults, we all found this pool very fun! I can’t imagine how much fun we would have if we brought our whole family here. We would definitely come back and stay a second time! Planning to stay in their room with private pool for the second time! After having enough fun, we prepared to check out and start our second day's itinerary. The first stop on the second day was also a Michelin lunch, and the second stop was to visit the primo piazza, a tourist attraction in the Italian town. Honestly, I don't recommend this place. The entrance ticket was 200 baht and the place was very small. I personally don't think it's worth it! It was also very hot outside, so we went straight to the cafe that won the design award. The coffee was delicious and the bread was tasty. I highly recommend it! After this stop, we drove to the hotel to check in. SALA still needs to drive about 30 minutes to us. The hotel is not full today and offers a preferential upgrade plan. For an additional 1,000 baht, you can upgrade to a detached villa with a private pool! They also chose the best room for us to watch the sunset, but unfortunately the weather was not good and we couldn't see the sunset! But it was another good day!
