The first to third photos are of Kawazu cherry blossoms at Mount Aso, located at Minami Aso Sakura Park. The fourth to sixth photos are of cherry blossoms at the foot of Kumamoto Castle, located at Sakura no Baba Josaien. Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms at Kikuchi Park have not yet bloomed. Hopefully, they will bloom by the end of the month. All three locations offer free admission. However, parking at Kumamoto Castle is quite full, making it difficult to find a spot. I stayed at the nearby Nest Hotel, which is about a 15-minute walk away. There are also large shopping malls nearby, making dining very convenient.

A day trip to Mount Aso and Kumamoto Castle~ Kumamon is really super cute. Big and small Kumamon toys to take home! A pilgrimage to Fukuoka for Detective Conan fans (Conan really knows how to travel). Luckily, the Mount Aso crater was open, but it was super windy 🥶. So cold! In the evening, I had Fukuoka's specialty grilled chicken skin.
