The Cathedral of St. Cecil and the Belby Palace on the side are two of the more famous ancient buildings in Al. The Cathedral of St. Cecil was originally built in the 4th century AD and is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Albi. The church was destroyed in a fire in the 7th century and restored in 920 AD, and between the 12th and 14th centuries it was converted into a Romanesque stone church, becoming a medieval Gothic building. It is said that the exquisite brick structure of this church is rare in the world, and the colorful sculptures and the painting "The Last Judgment" in the interior of the cathedral are also quite famous.
