An authentic experience

While exploring the eastern part of the continent and destinations in the Balkans. I had to make a brief stop in Belgrade. Not much is known to the regular tourist who goes after the well illustrated and seasoned destinations. Surprisingly, the experience in Belgrade was mostly positive. From a travel perspective, this is a place that offers a more local experience. There are no touristy setups with a few must touch famous spots. Instead, it offers hidden gems that require discovering. For me, Belgrade had a fascinating mix of architecture, which was beyond just medieval influences. This gives it a unique sense of authentic. I started off with one the largest orthodox churches, the temple of sava. The structure is known to have a domestic weighing thousands of tons. My favourite thing to do was to visit the complex that has the fortress and the park. What a beautiful setting by the confluence of two rivers and rich history demonstrated. Another personal favourite was the quarter of skadarlija. This part of the city has a unique artsy vibe with beautiful cafe and artworks. It's vibe is distinct and worthy of an experience. Ancient and Young City: Belgrade

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and the former capital of Yugoslavia, where the Danube and Sava rivers meet, and where the ancient and modern converge. The city has a long history and numerous cultural and natural attractions. The following sites are a must-visit. *National Assembly: The National Assembly of Serbia is located in the central district of Belgrade. It is a landmark building in Belgrade, with a grand appearance and typical Baroque style. Figure 7 shows Kalemegdan Park, Figure 8 shows the Victory Monument commemorating the soldiers who died in World War I, Figures 9-10 show the old fortress, and Figures 11-12 show the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. *Tito's Mausoleum: When visiting Belgrade, Tito's Mausoleum is a must-see. For those born before the 1970s in China, Marshal Tito was a familiar foreign leader. Under Tito's leadership, Yugoslavia experienced its fastest and best period of development, with a prosperous nation and dignified people. He is a hero in the hearts of the Yugoslav people. Unfortunately, with Tito's death, Yugoslavia disintegrated. It is said that Marshal Tito loved flowers during his lifetime, and now his mausoleum is built on the site of his former office, surrounded by many flowers, making it look like a garden. Therefore, it is also known as the 'House of Flowers.' Tito and his third wife are buried here, and it also serves as a small history museum, displaying gifts with ethnic characteristics given to Tito by leaders from various countries and ethnic groups in Yugoslavia. In Europe, the cost of living in Belgrade is not high, but it is slightly higher than in China. The city has many construction sites, indicating that Belgrade's economy is recovering and the city is developing, especially the tourism industry, which is growing rapidly. Leaving Saint Sava Church~ Walking down Knez Mihailova Street to the end, you'll find Kalemegdan Fortress, Serbia's most famous park, built in the 17th century~ Inside there are some medieval gates with both Islamic and Ottoman styles. The entire fortress is built of huge stone blocks, and to this day, you can still see the architectural remnants of ancient Rome and the Austro-Hungarian Empire~ Walking to the northwest end of the castle, sitting on the high walls of Belgrade Fortress, you can see the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Check in at Saint Sava Temple in Belgrade, a magnificent Byzantine-style Eastern Orthodox building that is the second largest Orthodox church in the world and one of the iconic buildings in Belgrade. The huge bronze dome, the white crystal marble masonry, and many devout people from all over the world come to pray. When they walk into the church, they are attracted by the panoramic painting on the indoor dome. The magnificent and shocking feeling of the golden light makes people look up and stop to appreciate slowly. The whole church is full of sacred, solemn, kind and lucky atmosphere. The Sveti Sava Cathedral was originally built to be the largest Orthodox church in the world. Unfortunately, due to financial problems, it has not been completed since its inception in 1935. At present, only the basement is basically completed, and the whole is completed. I really don't know when it will be. However, although there are still some internal constructions that do not affect the visit, it is worthwhile to spend half an hour to witness the birth of the world's largest Orthodox church.
