Ruzi Pavilion is located in the West Lake in the urban area of Nanchang. This is the fishing place of Xu Zhiyin, a Han Gaoshi. In the Southern Tang Dynasty, Gaoshitai (also known as "Ruzitai") was built. In the early Ming Dynasty, it was established as the Gaoshi Temple. During the Jiajing period, Xu Zhang built a pavilion in the north of the temple to worship his ancestor Xu Ruzi. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was pushed into the lake by the Japanese invaders. The pavilion is also broken, only the skeleton remains. In 1980, the West Lake was reconstructed, a park was opened, and the remnant pavilion was demolished and rebuilt.
