#mymymemories Last weekend had a nice trip to Penang. Me stay at Royale Chulan. This hotel really charming. imho. ☺️ Address - It is situated at Pengkalan Weld, Georgetown. Ambiance/Facilities - Check in process on a weekday was a breeze. The receptionist was friendly and accomodative. The hotel provides high-speed internet connection in the rooms and all common areas. Swimming pool is located on a raised wooden deck on level 2. There is also a fitness center equipped with a dozen of exercise equipment. Highlights - Overall me love this hotel. Quite spacious room. Strategic location to explore city business district plus a short walk or drive away to retail and entertainment outlets. Avg. Price - RM 280+- (depending on the time you’re booking) Rating - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #travel

This seafood buffet dinner is located under the restaurant of Royale Chulan Hotel called 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐧'𝐬 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧. The price for adults is 𝐑𝐌𝟗𝟗+ and 𝐑𝐌𝟕𝟗+ for 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 & 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 and is available on every Friday and Saturday. They have offer variety type of food such as Sze Chuan Prawns, Seafood Biryani Rice, green curry chicken, scallops with grilled cheese etc.... Not only that they also offers variety fresh seafood on ice ranging from crab, prawn, mussels, salmon and so on. If you don't really like the raw seafood then you must go to the one stall in the kitchen, they will cook the seafood in korean style Besides that , You must definitely try their roasted lamb and salmon in puff. #bucketlistreboot I love the Royale Chulan brand name...(all of them). The appearances from the lobby till you walk in their rooms does not dampened your spirit. Their receptionist is highly trained to serve royalties ..meaning they're very professional. For those who insist that a Hotel must have a wall to wall carpet ,this is the Hotel you should be staying in. Straightforward, no hassles check-in, easy secure covered parking in the hotel's own multi-storey car park across from the lobby and all staff from the doorman to reception staff to cleaners were friendly and helpful. Undoubtedly one of the highlights for us was that, compared to other hotels we've stayed in, the staff really went the extra mile for guests. Rooms had been properly and thoroughly cleaned and I liked the bathroom layout with separate rooms for the toilet and shower. At breakfast, although no buffets are currently allowed due to covid19 restrictions, there was still a good range of set menu choices. Service was prompt and attentive with staff regularly checking to see if you were ok or needed anything. Obviously, guests not serving themselves gives the staff more work and it was noticeable that the hotel had clearly thought about this and responded appropriately by putting more staff on to ensure guests were well looked after. Location is excellent too being right in the centre of George Town. Lots of tourist attractions, including Little India are within a short walk. I had thought we might have a view across the Straits to the mainland. Not so, but that was my mistaken impression from looking at the map. Most rooms actually face inwards and overlook a central courtyard which is now the swimming pool. But this was fine - traffic noise was zero, which is unusual for such a central location. We would certainly look to stay here again when we are next in Penang and I will probably check out other Royale Chulan hotels too when we are out and about.

Address - 📍Pengkalan Weld, Georgetown Ambiance/Facilities - Our room was facing the cruise terminal. It’s so beautiful! Their gym was okay but the pool water was a lil bit cloudy. So we decided not to swim. Highlights - Walking distance to the famous Kapitan, Pasembor Padang Kota Lama. Also, walking distance to Fort Cornwallis. You may also walk around Georgetown for the street mural or also known as Penang Street Art. Avg. Price per Person - RM 100/pax Rating - 4/5 for the room, service and amenities. The breakfast buffet was good. Various types of food. Overall, this hotel is recommended because it’s in the middle of the town! All walking distance we can avoid from the bad traffic. #gooutside #staycation

it was a great stay at Royale Chulan, no problem faced and the parking they provided was secured too. food places are walking distance, i literally walked to eat instead of ordering from grabfood or foodpanda. chulia street was actually a stone’s throw away, it didn’t take much work to start your car and drive there you can just walk. the guards and valets were helpful too. if you prefer a non-hassle check-in and check-out, this is a place i recommend people to stay. I guess they did improve alot after dramas happened and complaints lodged by customers. I had a great stay, wish yall will have a great stay too! #staycation #couplestrip

the hotel is nice, great experience there.. just a bit frustrated about the parking. maybe because i came on wesak holiday, the guest is just a lot 😆 the lobby is full house. but despite a busy day, the receiptionist is still treat us nicely…. the room is spacious!! i like the room so much eventhough its the cheapest room 😆😆 buttt please bare in my when you come ok public holiday, the hotel is busy so the parking a bit difficult. and the guard is not helping 🫠 when i want to check in i park infront of tnb electric room which is quite dangerous. but nothing happens so im okay with it. on top of it i like the room so much!! #staycation #couplestrip

#travellerswonderland Overall, I was really satisfied with the service given by the hotel management and staffs. The concierge staffs , Najihah and Mr Joel were cordial and helpful to ensure that our check-in process smooth and quick . They prepared for us a welcome drink; it allowed us to quench our thirst since it was really hot in the noon. They had an array of breakfeast buffet selections, both local and international cuisine. From the looks of it, it seems that the hotel is quite old, however they maintained the hotel room really well. The toilet facilities in the hotel room was great. The hotel is 8 minutes walk to the Padang Kota Lama foodcourt, and approximately 15 minutes to Little India and Jalan Kapitan Keling mosque , which makes it quite easy for the in-house guests to walk around the George Town city. On top of that, their surau and restrooms were kept clean always.

Rooms were spacious - enough wardrobe space, even had a small daybed, enough socket points. Bathroom was a good size with separate section for toilet and shower area separated by the sink. Location was excellent- good to walk around to the Swettenham Pier, Fort Cornwallis, Esplanade, restaurants. Area was brightly lit at night - so no fear of walking around at night. Later, once we had arrived at the hotel lobby nobody was here to greet us. The lobby was small and heritage but also nice. In the lobby there was also a welcome drink for guest. Once I had check in into the room I noticed that had many space right at the entrance. The bathroom was basic and clean. While the closet had a safe like every hotel room, and also had many space to hang clothes. The bed was spotless and comfortable. The view w was a amazing and my stay at the hotel was great. Making the reservation was simple and they accommodated my request for early check in since there were rooms available. The room was neat, clean and it had a nice view of the pool. Once I parked my car in the car park, I didn't have to use it again as everything was within walking distance - food and sightseeing. Water pressure is good. Wet dry toilet separated too. Only suggestion is that the sink area can get a lil wet. Only two towels provided but extra cloth isn’t provided for the floor. Staffs are all friendly.I had dinner in the hotel and it was worth the price. Food is fine, with a few good dishes, such as salted egg prawns, grilled lamb, chicken rolls. Favourite dessert was the chocolate chaux pastry.Location is superb, many historical sites are within walking distance. Also very convenient to get an e-hailing vehicle. #deliciousfood #staycation

Centrally located at the business district nearby banks and government offices. Hotel entrance is away from the main road. Parking is available but with limited numbers. Checking in was smooth and fast, rooms are ready to be occupied. We were lucky to arrived at the right time! Room is comfortable and spacious. There is a dressing area next to the bathroom. I booked Deluxe room hoping to get more space for my son to roam around. When i checked in, they told me they ran out of Deluxe room. I insisted on having Deluxe room. Then few seconds later they gave me the ‘Deluxe room’. When i went up, all i see is this (refer picture). I asked to change room. And the room is very very small. Breakfast spread also not same as i had before (last i stayed in 2019). One of the reason i booked because my mother loves their breakfast spread. But this time its very bad. Very limited choice of food. Their staff even dont even care to refill fresh juices, tea and coffee as they ran out of it. This is last time that i’ll ever book to Royale Chulan Penang.
