Kew Gardens London
The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, also known as Kew Gardens. The gardens include the ornate Great Pagoda and Kew Palace – the former summer residence of King George III. Kew’s Pagoda was completed in 1762 as a gift for Princess Augusta, the founder of the Gardens. The Great Pagoda was restored in 2018 to its original 18th century splendour. This includes the 80 dragons which originally adorned the roofs, each carved from gilded wood.

Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew
I had been to London so many times, but I had yet to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, better known as the Kew Gardens. On my last trip I finally made it there.
It is a little outside of the city centre. You can easily reach it by subway, though it might take up to an hour to get there. At 20 pounds a ticket, entrance fees are quite high, but the gardens are enlisted on the Unesco World Heritage list.
The gardens are huge. You can explore the different areas, such as the woodlands for hours. Though my favourites are the glass greenhouses, especially the one with the giant lilly pads.

A beam of light shines into the greenhouse at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
On a rare sunny day, I made a spontaneous decision to visit Kew Garden (the Royal Botanic Gardens).
The greenhouse closes at 5 pm, and with limited time, I still managed a quick tour of one of the glasshouses.
Upon entering, a wave of moist air hit me, and even the camera lens fogged up due to the sudden change from cold to warm.
The greenhouse gave me the feeling of a tropical rainforest, with flora from tropical and subtropical regions.
The steel frame structure bore signs of age, and the spiral staircase wound its way upwards, with even the handrail patterns being exquisitely detailed, like an elegant elder.

Ever so beautifully blossoming Kew Gardens!
Me and my friend visited the Kew Gardens (Royal Botanic Gardens) on April 4th, and it was a beautiful day to remember.
You can walk around the garden all day and even bring your picnic, but we were short on time, so we just popped into the glass house, which is called Palm House, and saw those tropical plants and flowers.
If you go, don't forget to get upstairs; it's like a gallery, and you'll see more of the structure of the Victorian glass house.
If you take a tube from central London, it'll take about 1 hour, but I took a taxi both ways, which was a half-hour each and cost me £33 in total, which is okay for London.

🪴 Kew at Winter 🪴
It is mid-January and there is still lots to see and do in this Royal Botanic Garden. One of the upsides of visiting in the winter is that there are no crowds and you get to appreciate a different aspect of the invigorating landscape.
The temperate and tropical glasshouses are excellent places to linger when the bracing January breeze gets a little chilly. Our weather only regret is not being able to do the treetop walkway die to high winds.
Don’t miss out on visiting this oasis just because it is winter time. Wrap up warmly and take advantage of the lack of crowds. #London #Royalgarden #Winter
