🏨Durrants Hotel
📍32 George Street, London, England
This is a hidden gem in central London! It's less than a 5-minute walk from Bond Street Underground Station. The hotel is surrounded by popular shopping areas such as Oxford Street and Bond Street, making it very convenient for eating, drinking, and shopping. Not only is the location excellent, but the hotel's exterior also exudes an old London charm, taking you back to a bygone but fascinating era.
The hotel's interior design is very traditional British, with wood paneling and antique furniture, giving the entire hotel a collegiate atmosphere. The reception is very welcoming, and the staff are professional and friendly, making you feel at home. Although the room is not large, it is very well-decorated. The L'Occitane toiletries, comfortable bed, and soft towels are all very thoughtful. Although the building is old, the soundproofing is not very good, and the water pressure is a bit low, but these minor drawbacks are completely overshadowed by its advantages.
In terms of room experience, I am very satisfied. Although I chose a standard room, it is not large, but the room facilities are complete. The clean sheets and tidy layout, every detail reveals the hotel's care for its guests. The air conditioning is very quiet, and it is very comfortable to sleep at night. Although the bathroom is not large, it is well-maintained and equipped with L'Occitane toiletries. Taking a hot bath is simply too relaxing. In the morning, open the curtains and enjoy the stunning views of the British streets, which will put you in a good mood.
The recommended tours are also highly praised! Within a 5-minute walk, you can reach the Shard Viewing Platform, where you can overlook the entire city of London, and the beautiful 360-degree view will make you linger. In the Covent Garden area, not only are there a wide variety of boutique shops and gourmet restaurants, but also the Royal Opera House, where you can enjoy a series of wonderful performances. This is an experience you must not miss. There are also Indian cuisine at The Spice Indian Restaurant, traditional British afternoon tea at The Park Room, and authentic Greek cuisine at Alexander The Great. Every meal is mouthwatering.
To sum up, although Durrants Hotel is a bit old, its British charm, excellent location, and attentive service fully compensate for any minor flaws. Next time I come to London, I will definitely choose here again, and you should not miss it either! ❤️
