Driving from Changning County, a day's itinerary mainly includes visiting the three wonders of the scenic area: the surface stone sea, the sinkhole, and the Tianquan Cave, so I purchased a package ticket—admission + tour bus + boat ticket (a total of 115 yuan per person, the tour bus goes back and forth, you can get on and off at any time). The surface stone sea, also known as the surging waves of stones, is a limestone formation that has been tested by nature over the years, resulting in this stone sea that looks like a flock of sheep climbing a mountain. Remember to take photos here before buying a ticket to enter the park, especially on cloudy days to get the best effect. Husband and Wife Peaks: After buying the ticket, take the tour bus directly, which saves a lot of energy in the hot summer. The two standing peaks resemble a man and a woman, with a stone in the middle like their marriage certificate, leaning on each other, lifelike. We, who rarely take photos together, also left behind a standard tourist photo. Bo Wang Fort: The second stop of the tour bus brings you here, where the buildings are made of natural stones. There is a famous attraction here, the hanging coffins of the Bo people on the cliffs. 🌟 Xingwen Stone Sea, a niche 4A tourist attraction in Yibin, where nature's craftsmanship is vividly displayed 🤗 A superb place to admire karst landscapes❗ Apart from being a bit far, there's nothing to nitpick about❗ A national geological park so quiet you can have it all to yourself❗ Last year, it was even the performance site for the CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala❗ An extremely underrated scenic spot❗ 🚗 Transportation: ▶️ Self-driving: 3 and a half hours from Chengdu to Xingwen County, and over 40 minutes from Xingwen County to the scenic area. It takes 1.5 hours from Yibin to the scenic area. ▶️ High-speed train: Xingwen County has a high-speed train station, departing from the east station, 2 hours. 🏞️ Attractions: A superb place for landscape features❗ The scenic area is very rich in views, mainly divided into four parts: the surface stone sea, Bo people's hanging coffins, the world's largest funnel, and a group of karst caves. It is recommended to visit in the above order, as the whole journey is quite long, about 3-4 hours, and it's best not to backtrack. Personally, I find the karst caves the most interesting, with a super large space inside, featuring skylights, "terraces", and an underground river, etc. The stalactites combined with lighting design create a mysterious and romantic atmosphere, and two spots are among the top 100 most beautiful viewing points in Sichuan. The slide into the karst cave and the boat ride inside are extra charges. 🌳 Surroundings: In addition to Xingwen Stone Sea, Yibin also has other attractions such as Shunan Bamboo Sea to explore. I personally recommend visiting Lizhuang Ancient Town, a newly developed attraction with good planning and high playability, and the authentic Lizhuang white meat is much tastier than one might expect! 🍽️ Accommodation: It is recommended to rest in Xingwen County, which is a large town with convenient living. The Lijiang Maple Hotel is recommended, 200+, with free parking and plenty of food options downstairs. During the New Year's Day holiday, I took my child to the less-known tourist spot, Xingwen Stone Sea in Yibin, and unexpectedly gained a lot. I learned that besides the 56 ethnic groups, there was once a Tujia ethnic group, saw the Tujia hanging coffins, the largest sinkhole in southern Sichuan, and the strangely shaped stalactites. I experienced the wonders of nature, temporarily escaped the hustle and bustle of the city, relaxed in nature, and the child also challenged interesting experiences such as high-altitude zip lines and archery.

Xingwen Stone Sea in Yibin| Explore Nature
One of the Four Wonders of Southern Sichuan: Xingwen Stone Sea Xingwen Stone Sea is a World Geopark. When you enter Xingwen Stone Sea in Yibin, you can admire the towering stone forests, huge caves and the stalactites inside that are like the work of gods, it's a great place for you to deeply appreciate nature. My one-day itinerary was too short, mainly visiting the three wonders of the scenic area: the surface stone sea, the sinkhole, and the Tianquan Cave. I bought a package ticket: admission + sightseeing car + boat ticket, a total of 115 yuan/person. The sightseeing car is round trip, you can get on and off at any time, and the boat ticket can be bought or not. If you like outdoor activities, you can buy a 240 yuan package ticket, which includes a few more activities. If you have a longer time, you can also go to the Western Grand Canyon for a visit. The food in the scenic area is very average, Yibin's burning noodles are okay. Occasionally, you will be invited by local residents to eat at their homes, I heard it's good, all home-cooked dishes, but I didn't go . Considering that there are many delicious foods in Yibin, you can have a big meal after the tour, so I didn't rush. The scenic area is very large, it is said that it takes three days to walk all the way, very suitable for friends who like hiking. The transportation near the Stone Sea is very convenient, you can drive yourself, take a bus. You can also take a high-speed train from other cities to Yibin, and then transfer from Yibin, it's very close.
