This place is actually link together with The Rex KL, and it is at lower ground level, easy accessible from the main entrance. Noticed quite a lot of working adult have their meal and drinks here even though it is a weekday. Psst! If you want to come here, I would recommend to take train to Pasar Seni station and walk over 😉

At the basement level of the REXKL arts hub, there is a food street that consists of a food-truck concept of individual stalls selling their own specialty menus! The ambience is very ghetto and funky, with the brick floors and industrial minimalistic look. One thing I thought could’ve helped was for there to be air-conditioning. It was open-air and way too hot for comfort. Anyway, we tried the signature noodles, cheeseburger and artisan cakes from three different stalls. I would recommend the burger but for that price, I think you can find cheaper options elsewhere. The pandan-flavoured cake tasted better than the Boston cream pie. #mymymemories RexKL is a creative community hub, where you can find lots of shops ranging from a bookstore, a tattoo parlor, food stores, clothing and more. And the best part of it, is that everything's local! There's even an event hall where you can find local concerts and theater groups doing shows. RexKL used to be a theater back in the olden days, and it is now converted into this creative community center. They refurbished a little of the space and maintained the look and feel of the old theater. A mix of old and new! There's a BookXcess on top, and as you know, there's plenty of "hidden spots" where you can take instagrammable photos of yourself. Some spots allow you to look out into the event/theater hall as well. Below, we visited two stores - Stellar Coffee and The Rex Bar. Stellar is a coffee and kombucha bar, and The Rex Bar is.. well, a bar 🤣 Our recommendations are the Hawthorn Kombucha from Stellar, and Highball Yuzu from The Rex Bar! There are places where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and food, a great place where you can gather with your friends and support the local creative scene too! RexKL BookXcess is one of the places in Kuala Lumpur that I saw on IG and really wanted to come to. The bookstore is on the 2nd floor. From a classic old cinema, it has been renovated into a bookstore. Anyone who likes taking pictures must not miss it. The design is like a loft, exposed concrete, the lighting here is very well arranged. No matter how you take a picture, it comes out beautiful. I was the one who decides to go there since he never been to REX KL so, I wanted to show him around. After going through the maze route of Bookxcess at the cultural centre, we decide to go down and find some food. And that's when he saw Stellar KL, on the left side of the passage with mirrors. They are still newly open when we came by. But option wise, it's enough to attract us to try. Their s'mores pie and the s'mores tart are super gooey. It's a bit too sweet even for me as a sweet tooth but the texture win my heart ❤️ I don't remember the exact price but, I could say that it's range from RM 20- RM 30 for both ☺️

#aprilblooms The triple decker smashed beef burger at this KL spot was insane! Three juicy beef patties, seared to perfection and piled high with melted cheese, creamy sauces, and fresh toppings. The presentation was on point, with a side of fresh flowers on the plate that added a touch of elegance to the meal. The restaurant's decor was pretty cool too, with some awesome street art on the walls that gave it a fun, urban vibe. As I dug in, the flavors just exploded - it was like a party in my mouth! The Chinatown area is an artistic streetscape with illustrations on the buildings. This building in the area has a stylish atmosphere and the books displayed there are very unique. I came here because I happened to see a photo of a board game in a travel article and it caught my attention. The original purpose of my trip was to buy Malaysian Mahjong (3 players), so I decided to look for it while hoping that they might have it. The travel article only showed book stores, but there were also stores with second-hand books and antiques. The book store I was looking for did have board games, but they didn't have Malaysian Mahjong. I was surprised that there were many "Kitten Explosion" games in the lineup. Prices were generally high, probably because they were imported products.
