The Renaissance Wuhan Hotel offers incredible value – they're not kidding around. 💰Cost Per Person The price is super reasonable. For two nights, the value is exceptional. If you're looking for comfortable accommodations in Wuhan without breaking the bank, this is definitely a great choice. 🛎️Service Experience Because it was a family member's birthday, I contacted the hotel staff in advance through the app. They were incredibly attentive, not only upgrading us to a suite but also preparing a birthday cake. The service was top-notch! When we arrived, there was no line at the front desk. While the check-in process took a little longer than expected, the staff member was clearly proficient and worked diligently. I later learned that high-tier members can check in at the Executive Lounge during busy periods for a faster experience. 🏘️Room Type/Layout As a Platinum member, I was upgraded to a junior suite with a 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom layout. The space was large, more than enough for two people. There were plenty of chairs, and while the sofa wasn't huge, families could probably push them together if needed. The suite had a coffee table, but unfortunately, no dining table. However, it did come with a capsule coffee machine, so the amenities were up to par. Although the decor is a bit dated, it's well-maintained and doesn't detract from the overall experience. 🛌Amenities/Facilities The bedding was incredibly comfortable. While the room showed its age a little, the carpet seemed new and was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We were lucky enough to be on the 16th floor, which offered breathtaking, panoramic views. The Executive Lounge got crowded during the evening happy hour, but the hotel thoughtfully allowed guests to leave their room numbers and wait or take their food back to their rooms. The lounge had a wide variety of food, and the afternoon tea with fruit and cake was delicious. I'd give it a 90 out of 100. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The cleanliness was also impeccable, making for a comfortable and worry-free stay. 💗Other Tips The hotel is located next to East Lake, with plenty of attractions nearby. It's about a 25-minute taxi ride to the Yellow Crane Tower, Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, Wuhan River Beach, and Jianghan Customs House, so getting around is relatively easy. There's a famous restaurant nearby called Liang Liang Steamed Shrimp, which serves fresh, large, and firm shrimp – definitely worth trying. The only slight inconvenience is that the hotel isn't in the city center. It's a seven-minute walk to the subway station, and the hotel is located next to an elevated road, requiring a U-turn to access. However, if you're mainly planning a staycation like I was, and don't need to travel much, these aren't major issues!

Wuhan Renaissance Hotel: A high-quality choice with great value for money I stayed at the Wuhan Renaissance Hotel with high expectations for its location. Although I knew the hotel was a little old, I was pleasantly surprised and fell in love with it. The hotel has a retro style. There is a wide variety of cheeses, the hot dry noodles are delicious, and the afternoon tea cookies are of excellent quality, surpassing those of many cake shops. You can really feel the hotel's attention to detail. In terms of value for money, it is hard to beat in Wuhan. During my business trip to Wuhan in November, I chose the Wuhan Renaissance Hotel in Wuchang District. The price was just over 300, which was very cost-effective compared to Atour's price of 420 on the same day. Platinum cardholders can also enjoy a complimentary upgrade to a basic suite, which is relatively large compared to similar room types. Although the facilities are a little old, they are well maintained. I went to breakfast before 10 am on Sunday. Although the food was replenished a little slowly, the breakfast was of good quality and there was a wide variety of Wuhan-style noodles. The lounge was excellent, with plenty of drinks, a wide variety of afternoon tea, delicious sandwiches, and a set meal during happy hour in the evening. The overall service attitude of the hotel was good. Although there was an intern at the front desk who was not very familiar with the business, they were enthusiastic. However, the concierge at the door was a little lacking, as they did not offer help to guests with a lot of luggage. The front desk staff are very nice and directly upgraded to a suite. The floor is not high, only 12 floors, so the view is average. There are not many types of breakfast, but the special hot dry noodles and beef noodles are particularly delicious. In addition, for some reason, I feel that the masters in Wuhan are very good at making fried foods. The fried dumplings in the restaurant are crispy and very delicious. Because it was a business trip, I went out early and returned late, so I didn't experience the executive lounge and swimming pool. When I woke up on the last day, I thought that I was in Wuhan, and I hadn't experienced breakfast and late-night snacks, so I immediately went to the nearby popular Shanhaiguan. I have to say that the fresh fish paste soup noodles with fried dough sticks are really amazing. The fried dough sticks are fried now, hot and crispy, dipped in the soup noodles, coated with a thick soup, and matched with the moderate pepper flavor, which makes people feel very satisfied all morning.

Wuhan Guangming Marriott Hotel I often stay here so I won't take photos of the room anymore (I will post photos when I have time to summarize all Marriott hotels in Wuhan). The welcome gift is cheese, which is thick and good, but there are not enough biscuits to go with it. The food in the lounge is still good. The main course is salmon pie. There are many dishes but I can't eat spicy food so I didn't take many. Breakfast is still OK. The vegetables are fresh. The tofu skin is a must-try. It's not greasy. The chestnut cake is good. 📌When it comes to my favorite hotel in Wuhan, it has to be the Hyatt Regency in Optics Valley, but its location seriously limits my travel routes, making a trip to the city center quite a hassle! I've stayed there several times in a row before, and this time, as a tourist, I wanted something more convenient, so I booked the Wuhan Guangming Renaissance which I had never stayed at before. 📌It just so happened that I had an appointment at the Hubei Provincial Museum, which is very close to the Renaissance. The hotel is situated between Yuejiazui and Wangjiadun, and it takes a walk to get to the subway station from both ends. 📌As an old hotel that opened in 2007, the hardware of Guangming Renaissance is visibly aged! The owner must be aware of this issue, as they started replacing the carpets last year, and now it looks much better. 📌I heard that this hotel would lock in suites a few days in advance, which is very considerate. I made a last-minute reservation on the day, negotiated on the app, and they immediately gave it to me. I thought there would be many suites, but in reality, there are only 20+ suites in the entire hotel. 📌They gave me an R suite, which must be the basic suite. It has a very standard layout, with a guest bathroom and then a living room upon entering. Although the hardware is old, it's still quite comfortable to stay in, with a capsule coffee machine, though the bathtub 🛁 is small. 📌The lounge is also pitifully small, especially the dining area. After all, it's an old hotel, and the other half of the floor is guest rooms, so there's no room for expansion. I've long heard that the catering at Guangming Renaissance is good, and it didn't disappoint me that day. The braised ribs and chicken were great, and they also served a chicken cutlet and tasty siu mai. Indeed, an old hotel has to compete with its catering, and that's why I chose this one. I believe many people did the same. 📌The lounge doesn't open in the morning, so breakfast has to be at the buffet restaurant downstairs. It's best not to take off or land in crowded areas. 💡 Besides enjoying the flowers, there are also small performances at scheduled times and locations within the scenic area. I stayed at the Wuhan Guangming Marriott Hotel, which is only a 10-minute drive from the East Lake Scenic Area. I had an amazing birthday gateway at Renaissance Wuhan hotel. I love the amenities.
