A Michelin Star Ren He Guan
#magicalxmastrip
Having lunch at Ren He Guan, a Michelin Star restaurant, was a delightful experience. The cozy restaurant has a traditional interior, giving it a warm and inviting feel. We ordered their famous crab roe rice, which was rich and flavourful, along with tender braised pork and fresh stir-fried vegetables. Each dish was beautifully cooked and tasted amazing. As a bonus, we received complimentary mango pudding by leaving a review on Dian Ping. The pudding was refreshing and a perfect way to end the meal. Dining at Ren He Guan was not just about the food but also enjoying the lovely ambiance and excellent service with friends.

Star-rated old Shanghai taste
This well-established Shanghainese restaurant that has won one Michelin star for three consecutive years is a must-eat restaurant for us during our trip to Shanghai. We made reservations online early in the morning to ensure a table. We arrived on time and saw many people waiting, which shows its popularity. . The restaurant is built in the old Shanghai style with green as the main tone, and the decoration is full of nostalgic atmosphere.
There are many attractive dishes on the menu. We ordered a few recommended dishes on the must-eat list. The appetizers were local smoked fish 🐟 and cooked drunken crab 🦀. The smoked fish was the best we have ever tasted 👍🏻. The meat was loose, sweet and salty. The taste is moderate; while the drunken crab has a strong wine flavor, but is smaller in size. The hot dish is the shredded eel with wild rice oil and chicken fat. The portion of the shredded eel is generous, the fresh ingredients are paired with thick oily red sauce, which is the specialty of our cuisine; the so-called shede turns out to be fresh and tender stir-fried vegetable sprouts. The staple food is the most anticipated Crab Meal with Rice 🦀🍚. The Crab Meal is a surprise in terms of both quality and quantity, and the sweetness is satisfying 😋; followed by the Fried Rice with Wild Vegetables from the Old Alley, the stuffing is soft and cottony yet fried to a fragrant aroma. Satiety. The per person consumption of this dinner is ¥240.
In terms of food and service, this restaurant is worthy of its Michelin star. If you want to go to Shanghai to eat outstanding local dishes with the old Shanghai flavor, Renhe Restaurant is worth recommending👍🏻
