Jinjuya, have you found Yubaba?
The "Kinjuya" hot spring hotel in the famous Shibu Onsen in Nagano Prefecture is said to be one of the inspirations for Yubaba's hot spring house. Walking through the stone-paved hot spring street, the four-story Kinjuya appears deep in the road. The unique architectural style of Kinjuya, a wooden building from the Showa period, has been registered as a national tangible cultural property. It is said that the sixth-generation successor of Kinjuya spent several years visiting various parts of the country to collect various architectural styles and designed it. Not only is the exterior spectacular, the interior design of the Fixture House is also very special. Walking into the Fixture House is like walking into a time tunnel. Female generals in kimonos walk by quickly with bent waists. The polished wooden floor makes it seem as if you can see the skinny Chihiro carrying a bucket and mopping the floor vigorously. A general hot spring hotel may only have 2 to 3 hot spring pools, but inside the Jinju House alone, there is an open-air pool, two public pools and five hot spring rooms with different styles! Each hot spring house is very unique. What's more, guests staying at Kinjuya can soak in the eight public hot springs on Shibuya Onsen Street for free! In other words, as long as you stay here, you can soak in 13 different hot springs! 🛏Accommodation costs: A standard Japanese-style room costs around 37,400 yen, with dinner and breakfast per night for two people. Breakfast: Japanese cuisine. Dinner: Kaiseki cuisine. There are 29 Japanese-style rooms in total, each with its own architectural style and elegance. The hot spring is 100% natural, non-circulating long-flowing hot spring water. 🚉Transportation strategy: Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen and get off at Nagano Station, then transfer to the "Nagano Electric Railway" to Yudanaka Station, transfer to the "Nagaden Bus" for about 10 minutes, get off at "Shibu Onsen" or "Wagobashi" station and walk for 2 minutes. You can take a courtesy car for free from Yudanaka Station (advance reservation required). Nearby tourist attractions: Hidden Mountain, Baoguang Mountain, and Ninja Experience.
