Due to historical reasons, the current urban planning of Berlin is not very beautiful, and it has a kind of chaotic patchwork. However, when you see the Berlin City Hall, the Reichstag Building, the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin City Hall again, and the Berlin Central Station, you can't help but marvel at their iconic architectural style. Moreover, Museum Island and the surrounding area have a lot of things worth spending time to carefully explore, so overall, it is still a city with a very distinctive mark of the times, and it is worth taking the time to walk around.

#reichstag... The German parliament is a marvel. It is in Berlin and its also known as the Bundestag. It houses the lower house of the German Parliament. It has a roof terrace and a dome that is open to the public. One has to register in advance though to be able to visit. Although at times you can be lucky and just be able to walk in. Amazing piece of architecture.

You can also book appointments to see the top of the Parliament which opens a great panoramic view to central Berlin.
