A Review of Our Chengdu Experience

Our visit to Chengdu was a delightful blend of cultural immersion, culinary exploration, and, of course, an unforgettable encounter with its most famous residents: the giant pandas. We focused on experiencing the city's relaxed pace, its vibrant tea house culture, and its spicy Sichuan cuisine.
🚩 Sightseeing Route
Our sightseeing route centered around the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, followed by exploring the Kuanzhai Alley (Wide and Narrow Alleys) for a taste of traditional Chengdu architecture and modern cafes.
🏖️ Must-Visit Attractions
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is an absolute must-visit. Seeing the pandas up close, especially the playful cubs, was a truly magical experience.

🍜 Local Cuisine
Chengdu is a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, and the food was a major highlight. We indulged in authentic Sichuan dishes like Mapo Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken, Dan Dan Noodles, and, of course, various types of hotpot. The flavors were bold, spicy, and incredibly addictive. Street food in Jinli Ancient Street was also a delicious adventure.
🏠 Accommodation
* Rayfont Hotel & Apartment Chengdu: This hotel offered comfortable and spacious accommodation, feeling more like an apartment with its amenities. Its location was convenient, providing good access to public transport and a comfortable base after long days of exploring. The staff were helpful, and the overall experience was positive, offering good value.
