Rakgojae has an annex in Andong as well as Seoul, and this time I visited the main building in Seoul. When you enter the quiet alley of Bukchon, the manager personally welcomes you at the main gate of the magnificent Hanok. When you enter the room, you are provided with welcome tea and dried vegetable snacks, and you can enjoy tea while listening to the birds singing on the floor. There is a mugwort sauna inside, which you can use for 30 minutes, and a steam bath is also provided. Oh, and there is also a private hot spring bath, although I did not use it. (Reservation required) In the evening, it would be nice to try Jambon Beurre at the nearby Sogeumjip.
Breakfast is prepared as a neat Korean meal, and the cleanliness of the room and the bedding were all excellent. The bathroom is also modern and clean. In other words, it is the best hanok hotel in Korea where the old and the new are in perfect harmony. Highly recommended!!!
