Getting There - From kaohsiung, you need to take MRT Orange line to sizhiwan station, exit via 1 then walk to gushan ferry pier station. After that, you need to purchase ferry ticket (ferry is for every 10 mins), and ride the ferry for 15 mins.
Attractions -
1.Rainbow church (not exactly a church, but it's more like a chapel), it's very instagrammable and sunset view is amazing!
2.You can also rent a bike to cycle around the Qijin island!
3. Shell museum- a big shell tunnel that people often take photo with!
4. Beach- enjoy your beautiful sunset at Qijin!

I'm in loveeee with the food here! The most popular and authentic to southern taiwan (especially Qijin) are 白糖粿(like fried sticky rice dough, coated with powdered sugar/peanut/sesame) and 蕃薯椪 （fried mashed sweet potato with yummy maltose sugar filling)

I doubt that people actually get married here, but it would be a cute wedding if you had a theme full of colors. Beautifully set next to the ocean, about 10 feet from the crashing waves.
We got lucky with no tourists in the area. But I hear this place gets super packed with tourists taking selfies. There are 2 chapels to play around. Totally free to enter. Located right next to the shell museum.
From the Ferry port, you could walk here in 20 minutes. Or, you could rent a bike/moped to get you there in 7 minutes.

Cijin Island, Kaohsiung
If you happen to visit Kaohsiung, don’t miss a day trip to Cijin Island! It is a tropical paradise which is only a five minute ferry ride from Sizihwan station.
There are many attractions along the beach. The Rainbow Church is one of them. It is actually more of a contemporary art installation than a place of religion – although Instagrammers do seem to worship it! We knew it was a very well known photo spot, purely by the sheer number of people queuing to have their pictures taken.
