Odaiba’s Rainbow Bridge is one of the most popular attractions in Tokyo, just like any magnificent bridges in the world. Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay, across the Rainbow Bridge from central Tokyo. We were so lucky that day because there was a light show performed there. The colours keep changing with the movement of waters and music. There were some Olympic medalists being shown in the light show. Surprisingly there wasn’t a big crowd that day. Along the way you could also see the Odaiba Statue of Liberty. Great for taking photos. This is a very beautiful place in the evening for sunset view, and nighttime to see the changing rainbow colour of the bridge. Please note that you are not allowed to cycle across the bridge. The Rainbow Bridge is within 5 minutes walking distance from the train station. Along the way there are shopping malls and restaurants. Rainbow Bridge is a Tokyo landmark that connects Shibaura and Odaiba. You probably cross it on the highway or the Yurikamome line, but you might not know that you can actually cross it on foot or by bicycle, as it runs parallel to the general road! The toll is free for pedestrians and bicycles, but you will need to attach a special trolley to cross by bicycle. (Staff will explain this at the Shibaura and Odaiba entrances.) There are sidewalks on both the Harumi and Odaiba sides, and you can enjoy the scenery of Tokyo's unique skyscrapers from the Harumi side, and Fuji TV and Odaiba Seaside Park from the Odaiba side. It's quite high, so you can enjoy a little thrill. Odaiba is like Tokyo’s futuristic playground! The best part was seeing the Rainbow Bridge—it’s stunning, especially at night when it’s all lit up. Walking across the bridge was so cool because you get insane views of Tokyo Bay. Once I got to Odaiba, it felt like a different world! There’s a full-scale Gundam statue in front of DiverCity, and it actually moves (so epic!). I also visited teamLab Borderless before it closed, and I can’t wait for its reopening! The whole area has a fun, almost sci-fi vibe, with cool shopping malls, entertainment spots, and even a beach where I watched the sunset. I also saw the replica Statue of Liberty, which was such a surprise! Odaiba is a mix of modern, fun, and romantic—it’s perfect for a date, a girls’ day out, or just exploring something different in Tokyo!

The bridge resembles a rainbow spanning the sea and sky, elegant during the day and enchanting at night with its changing lights. As night deepened, the lights on the bridge gradually lit up, like a flowing galaxy, reflecting the city's bustling charm. I took a cruise, passing under the bridge, feeling the breeze on my face, and the twinkling ripples of light on the water were particularly captivating. After returning to the shore, I visited Odaiba, tasted local delicacies, adding more flavor to this romantic night. Day 2: Urban Oasis of Nature Today's destination is Yoyogi Park. This urban oasis has become an ideal place to escape the busy life. The splash when entering the water was a bit like a light drizzle, but the kids were extremely happy. In the hot August weather, the child sitting on the right side by the window couldn't stand the sun and it would be great if they could install sunshades.
