**Review of shopping at M&G at Raffles City, Shanghai
If you are a true stationery lover, don't miss the **M&G (晨光文具)** store at **Raffles City, Shanghai**! Just walking past the store, you can feel the “cuteness” and the money-saving atmosphere immediately because the store is decorated in a minimalist style mixed with brightness, which is typical of modern Chinese brands.
**Highlights worth shopping for:**
1. **Multi-colored gel pens** – There are dozens of types to choose from, including regular ink, pastel ink, or glitter. The fine tip writes very smoothly. Plus, the packaging is so cute that you can't decide.
2. **Cool design notebooks** – Whether it's a simple and luxurious style, a cute and fluffy style, or a style with cool quotes, there are all kinds to choose from.
3. **Stickers & notebook decorations** – Bullet Journal or Scrapbook lovers will definitely melt.
4. **Gifts/cute trinkets** – Pencil cases, clear files, or desk accessories that are both functional and have great designs.
**Shop atmosphere:** Spacious, easy to walk around, staffs are not fussy but are ready to help if asked (some can speak some English), there is a corner to try writing, testing products and a small photo corner for those who want to post on social media
**Price:** Very reasonable, especially compared to the quality and design. If you buy a lot, there are frequent promotions.
Chalis Journey
Shanghai|Brilliant Shanghai food of Raffles City
Yesterday, I met up with some friends for lunch at Raffles City and had Chinese food — overall, it was a great experience.
Peking Duck (Beijing Fruitwood Roasted Duck): Crispy on the outside, juicy but not greasy on the inside. Wrapped with scallions and sauce — absolutely delicious. The restaurant even provides gloves!
Classic Vietnamese-style Diced Beef: The beef was incredibly tender and smooth, with a hint of black pepper and a subtle sweetness. Very tasty.
Jade-style Hangzhou Eggplant: The eggplant was soft and just right, with a slightly spicy flavor.
Wok-fried Free-range Chicken with Sand Ginger: Thanks to the residual heat of the wok, the chicken was served at the perfect temperature, and it had a wonderfully rich aroma.
Spring Bamboo Shoots: Generously portioned. The chicken feet had a mildly spicy and sweet-and-sour flavor — really enjoyable.
Dessert – Tieguanyin Pudding: This was amazing. Rich milky flavor, complemented perfectly by bits of mango on top.

The summer heat has left everyone feeling hot and thirsty and that is when Go Ba tea comes to the rescue. Situated on basement one of Raffles city shopping mall is Go Ba Tea shop. Go ba is a popular bubble tea chain, which originates from Taiwan and they pride themselves as one of best fruit tea shop. You can expect fruity flavours here for their beverages such as orange merry green tea, honey passion fruit green tea, ah ma pineapple black tea, etc. Flavours are on the light and refreshing side. I personally love their beauty lychee black tea and i highly recommend it. Prices for their drinks are also inexpensive and generally cheaper than most bubble tea shops. Do give Go Ba a try today!
