🇻🇳 Authentic Vietnamese Food @ an viet
#myfoodies
Address:
LG-42, Queensbay Mall, 100, Persiaran Bayan Indah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang
Finally, we found a good Vietnamese restaurant in Bayan Lepas area! Since visiting Hanoi back in 2019, we've been craving for good, authentic Vietnamese meal but there's not much choices available here.
When this restaurant opened at Queensbay Mall, we knew we had to give it a try. We love that we get to choose how much rice or noodles we want, and we can also take our own toppings - a great initiative on lessening food wastage! 👍
Our personal favorite was the Beef Pho and Lemongrass Chicken Salad. As for drinks, do order Egg Coffee! Tastes just as good as back in Vietnam!
They also have really good deals for set lunch, so be sure to check them out! Refer to the last image for Set Lunch menu and pricing.

My family and I went to try out this Vietnamese restaurant in Queensbay Mall, Penang.
There were plenty of seats to accommodate patrons and were spacious. Food was decent and reasonably priced. Portion was good too!
Food we ordered was Vietnamese beef noodles, grilled lemongrass chicken with rice, Clam in coconut broth with vermicelli and braised pork belly in coconut juice rice set. Plus point of the restaurant is that they have a self-serviced condiments bar which i got unlimited supply of basil!
Give it a try if you are craving for a warm hearty bowl of noodle soup!

🥟 Xiao Long Baos @ Dragon-i
#mymymemories
Before Din Tai Fung came into the food scene in Penang, the locals here would flock to Dragon-i to enjoy Xiao Long Bao! They have two branches in Penang - Queensbay Mall and Gurney Plaza.
The quality over the years have downgraded slightly (the chicken we ordered had a foul odour, but to their credit, they removed it from our bill). However, it's still the place to go to for a fancy chinese restaurant meal. Even children will love their dishes here, especially the fried rice!
But of course, the Xiao Long Baos are still not to be missed if you're there!

⭐️ Delectable Dishes at Queens Hall
#mymymemories
Dining options may be aplenty at Queensbay Mall, but if you're looking for something (slightly more) economical and also delicious, the Queens Hall food court is definitely the place to go to! You'll be spoilt with choices!
The crowd favorite is of course the Uncle Kin Chilli Pan Mee! Don't let the queue deter you, it moves really fast! They serve 3 types of pan mee: soup, dry and dry with chilli. If you can't take spicy, take the dry pan mee and add in a little bit of the chilli flakes!
What about OUR recommendation? The Chicken Hor Fun stall serves really good chicken rice! Fragrant rice and velvety chicken, it's all you can ask for in a chicken rice 🍚
What's your favorite stall?

🍿 Catching a Movie @ GSC Queensbay Mall!
GSC Queensbay is usually our go-to whenever we want to catch a movie. Mostly because there's plenty of parking space available, and we could run our errands (buying groceries, have dinner etc) all while waiting for the movie to start.
It's been around for a long time now, and it certainly has a soft spot in our heart now. The staff manning the snack counter always greets us with a smile without fail. The seats were comfortable as well, and there's now a coffee vending machine inside the hallway.
Is it maintained well? I would say so, but they could definitely do better by keeping the toilet clean. It can get a little drastic there sometimes, unfortunately. The halls are starting to smell a little musky as well!

☕️ Cafe Hoppin': HWC Coffee [Penang]
Address:
Queensbay Mall, 2F-K3A/K3B, 100, Persiaran Bayan Indah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang
HWC Coffee is a new cafe located at Level 2 of Queensbay Mall. What stood out the most for us was the interior - it gives off a very futuristic and minimal vibe.
We ordered a cup of Chocolate Latte, and it was delicious - not too sweet, just the way we like it.
They're currently having a promo where you can get selected coffee for only RM1 if you download their app! We enjoyed the promo with a cup of black coffee too. Bliss!

Queensbay Mall is conveniently located at the Southwest Penang Island District, and it's about 12 minutes drive to the Penang International Airport.
It currently holds the title of the Largest Mall in Penang, and hosts about 400 stores in the building.
What we love about Queensbay Mall is there variety of brands available - it ranges from high end to local stores as well. There is also an ample amount of food choices for all the picky eaters out there!
There are also special shows by the mall on festivities too! We were once treated to a Doraemon Christmas special and had the Centre Atrium all decked up in Christmas decoration and shows! Check out their different decorations and events on every festivity!
TIP: Do take note of the opening hours, it's slightly different than the usual mall's opening. Plan your time well!

Gravy Baby - operates till 2am daily!
A lot of Western variety food to choose from. Food and Beverages. Its a bit pricey. Pie is a must try. Other than that pie it was okay.
Service poor due to long waiting time for food.
Went there for dinner - many foods from menu unavailable, took >45mins food to be delivered.

Best Ramen @ Ippudo 🇯🇵
Great environment, good service and nice food! The only request I have is to possibly make the portion of the ramen slightly bigger especially with the price we're paying for. Overall, the best ramen for me to have in Penang.
But regardless, it's a nice place to be in!

BIBIMBAP IN PENANG ISLAND
Penang :DubuYo Queensbay Mall
New opening Korean food restaurant in Queensbay Mall.
Fresh bimbimbap with side dishes, I can say it’s unexpectedly good taste! Anyway, as bibimbap lover, it’s above my expectation!
I am so in love with Korean food thus I tried a lot of bibimbap at different restaurants. The reason why I suggest DubuYo in Queensbay mall,Penang is because the freshness of the side dishes, especially I saw they serve marinated white radishes, which is quite flavory but not salty!
Besides, the bibimbap sauce is put aside so you can mix it according to your flavour. The portion is big enough so it’s quite full after finishing all. You will get a number and have to self serve while the food is ready.
The restaurant currently not taking order after 9pm. If you are going for dinner, you can call to ask for latest operation hours beforehand. Because the first time I went there, around 9:15pm and we’re told it’s closed. haha so I went back again next day at 8pm.

Had a delightful dinner here at Robataya which is located in Queensbay Mall. Specialising in Japanese cuisine, they offer a wide variety of food selection from top grade sashimi to rice bowls, hot pot, noodles, Izakaya and more! The restaurant is huge and spacious with plenty of tables and seatings, lovely place to have friends and family gatherings. The ambiance of the restaurant was lively and happening with the chatters of visiting patrons. Our go to order here is their spicy hot pot which was flavourful, great pairing with rice! Grilled stuffed chicken was also well cooked and delicious! Would revisit!

Delectable Pastries At Ondo, Queensbay Mall
#travelanywhere
Located in Queensbay Mall, the newly opened Ondo Patisserie is a delightful addition to Penang's culinary scene. Stepping inside, you're greeted by the heavenly aroma of freshly baked pastries and breads.
The highlight of Ondo Patisserie is undoubtedly their flaky croissants. Each bite reveals layers of buttery goodness, perfectly crisp on the outside yet tender inside. For those with a sweet tooth, Ondo Patisserie offers an array of cakes that are both visually stunning and delicious. From delicate cakes to rich chocolate mousse creations, each dessert is a work of art, showcasing the skill of their pastry chefs.

📍Idealite @ Queensbay Mall, Penang
Had lunch here at Idealite while doing some shopping at Queensbay Mall. It is a restaurant that’s located at the top floor of the mall serving vegan cuisine. The restaurant is quite huge, with ample of seatings and tables, can be crowded and packed with hungry patrons during peak hours. Love that they offer a wide selection of food and drinks, quite innovative with the dishes as they constantly come up with new menus!. Food was served quite slow during our visit. The dishes are well balanced , colourful and delicious. The pumpkin porridge came with braised tofu, egg and vegetarian floss, great pairing to the porridge. Mapo tofu noodle was also flavourful, while the cucumber and carrot added the crunchy texture to the dish. Would revisit.

Have visited this store for dine in and take outs for a couple of times whenever we crave for vegetarian food! This is indeed a good place for meatless meal. The restaurant is quite huge, with many tables and seatings, able to accommodate group of 6 in a table! The staffs were friendly and polite. We ordered mapo tofu (spicy tofu) noodles that came with shredded cucumber and carrots, which had a nice crunch, adding refreshing and crunchy texture to the dish! Pumpkin porridge was also very comforting and warm. However, the waiting time for the dish was a little long, probably due to the peak of crowds during lunch hours.
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

Had a wonderful dining experience here in Robataya Izakaya Queensbay Mall! Great and lively ambiance in the restaurant, ample of seats and tables as the restaurant is kind of big! Great place for friends and family gatherings, very spacious! Love the interior, was beautifully decorated with lots of elements: lanterns, fans, some greeneries. Service was great with attentive staff. They serve authentic Japanese food with a diverse menu! Love the kimchi hotpot served. The broth was flavourful with the right amount of spice, served with a portable burner so the broth is constantly served hot. Love it! Would recommend !

Address:
Queensbay Mall, GF-98, 100, Persiaran Bayan Indah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang
After a long day of shopping at Queensbay Mall, you can drop by Chateraise at the ground floor for a hot cuppa coffee and delicious Japanese cakes and pastries! Our favorites include dorayaki, and the amazing Hokkaido ice cream! So milky and delicious.
While the pricing is on the higher side, one can be sure that what you'll get is quality. It's not something we'd get everyday, but from time to time, as a sweet gift to ourselves!
Chateraise remains one of our favorite bakery and cakehouse here, and we're pretty sure that'll be the case for some time.

It's always a treat when we get to dine at Nandos! Nandos has been a fixture at Queensbay Mall but the restaurant was recently renovated and came back with a brand spankin' new look!
It's now much more spacious and fits in more tables. The quality did not decline as well. The only downside is just the fact that we have to order through QR codes, but this applies to every Nandos anyway.

Robataya Japanese Izakaya restaurant 🥟🍢🍤
#myfoodies
We stumbled upon this Japanese izakaya style restaurant hidden at the second floor corner North zone. The restaurant itself was spacious and child-friendly. There were tatami and normal table seatings which can seat up to more than 100 people.
The menu was extensive and they offer monthly chef specials as well. I personally find it quite rare to have chain Japanese restaurants serving such an extensive dessert menu including warabi mochi, grilled mochi other than the usual ice creams.
We tried a few items on the menu including koebi karaage, wakadori karaage don, kakuni don, nininku yaki meshi, tempura moriawase and tonkotsu nabe. Food portion was huge and definitely good for sharing. Taste wise, food was delicious as well! We enjoyed our meal thoroughly.
