🥤Must-eat food: seafood, dairy products, Hangi mea, kiwi fruit, meat pie
🦐Seafood: New Zealand has very clean waters. When you come to New Zealand, you must try the original seafood here. Including plump Bluff oysters, sweet and tender rock lobster, plump and delicious king salmon, delicious and cheap mussels...
🧁Dairy products: New Zealand has a developed animal husbandry industry. In addition to the excellent quality of meat products, the taste of dairy products here is also commendable, including milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc., all of which are delicious and cheap.
🍴Hangi meal: Maori traditional food, cooked with geothermal heat, commonly including potatoes, corn, chicken, etc. You can usually have an authentic hangi meal at the Maori Cultural Village.
🚇Necessary traffic rules for self-driving car rentals:
(1) Drive on the left; (2) Give way to pedestrians; (3) Do not turn left when the light is red;
(4) Seat belts must be worn in both the front and rear seats, and children under 7 years old must use child safety seats that comply with regulations;
(5) You are not allowed to use mobile phones while driving. If you need to use a mobile phone in an emergency, you need to stop the vehicle in a safe and legal place;
(6) When encountering an intersection, vehicles on the auxiliary road should give way to vehicles on the main road; turning vehicles should give way to vehicles going straight; when driving through a roundabout, look to the right and give way to vehicles on the right.
(7) When encountering a police car, fire truck, or ambulance approaching quickly from behind, drive on the far left side of the road or pull over and park when it is safe.
On New Zealand's roads, cyclists and drivers have the same rights. When approaching a cyclist, you must slow down, ensure safety before overtaking slowly, and try to keep a distance of 1.5 meters. At the same time, you must turn on the turn signal in advance and Do not occupy bicycle lanes
Be sure to wear snow chains when driving in winter to avoid slipping when driving on ice and snow.
❗️ Pay attention to the hard and slippery ice on the road, which can easily cause the car to spin and lose control.

Travel Plog | Auckland is just right as a transit stop for a trip to New Zealand
||June trip to New Zealand, with Auckland as the first and last stop, actually the total time spent before and after is just 24 hours. For a trip with a relatively tight schedule, this place is just right as a transit stop.
Although it's not very cold in Auckland in June, the rainy weather forced the cancellation of plans to visit Devonport and Mount Eden, so the only attractions in Auckland are the Sky Tower to downtown, Queen Street, the art gallery, and Albert Park, as well as a stroll around the University of Auckland campus. Half a day is enough for a round trip.
If the schedule is tight, you don't even need to go downtown, the art gallery and Albert Park are enough. The art gallery helps to understand the history and aesthetic values of a place, and the park gives a glimpse into the local lifestyle.
If the schedule is even tighter, it's not a pity to just transfer to the South Island. Although the photos may look good, the city of Auckland doesn't have much appeal. Overall, Auckland is more expensive than the South Island, and the city is not as tidy as Christchurch or Queenstown, with a worse experience on rainy days.

To be honest, I will choose to join a tour group if I go to New Zealand again in the future
It's been two months since I came back from the trip, but my thoughts are still drifting in New Zealand... My mind is full of white snow-capped mountains, blue clear glaciers, and sparkling lakes. If I didn't have to work, I would really want to go there and never come back. However, I heard that New Zealand's autumn is also very beautiful, and I want to go again!
Some small suggestions to avoid pitfalls, sisters:
1. Mobile data: I bought 2GB of data at that time, which was not enough. I suggest you buy more. If you stay for a long time, you can buy a local SIM card, which is more cost-effective.
2. Adapter: Domestic three-prong power strips can be used directly, but two-prong ones cannot. If you don't bring a power strip, it is recommended to buy an adapter.
3. Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Although New Zealand's summer is almost over, the autumn sun in New Zealand is also very strong. Sisters who want to go, remember to bring sunscreen!
4. NZD: Most places accept card payments (Visa and MasterCard). I personally feel that bringing 500 cash is enough. I stayed there for 12 days and almost used it up by the time I came back. NZD can be exchanged domestically, and there are also exchange points on Queen Street in Auckland with good exchange rates. Do not exchange at the airport, the exchange rate is very poor.
✅Our itinerary
D1-D2: Connecting flight to Shanghai, direct flight to Auckland, sleep at the hotel for one night after getting off the plane to adjust the time difference.
D3-D4: North Island tour of New Zealand (Auckland—Waitomo Glowworm Caves—Rotorua—Agrodome—Hobbiton)
D5-D11: South Island tour of New Zealand (Christchurch—Mount Cook National Park—Tekapo—Dunedin—Wanaka—Queenstown for 3 days, 2 days of free activities)—Shanghai
D12: Arrive in Shanghai
The first few days of the entire itinerary were a bit tight, but fortunately, we got to relax in Queenstown later. At first, I was worried that having too many people would be noisy, but later I found that everyone was quite well-behaved, probably because there were many young people.
The tour lasted 12 days and 10 nights, with a full group of 25 people. The average tour fee was 27,000 yuan per person, all-inclusive (round-trip airfare, hotel, meals, driver-guide, various paid activities, etc.). We stayed in four-star hotels, which were not as large as those in China but were clean and tidy with good soundproofing. We ate local specialty food or Chinese food with eight dishes and one soup, enough to fill us up. There were no hidden costs throughout the trip, and some activities were optional and self-funded, with no mandatory participation.
If you have any questions, you can leave a message in the comments section, and I will actively answer any questions I can help with!

Listen to Post Malone, explore a different Auckland
Time: 2023/11/21 17:00
Venue: The Outer Fields at Western Springs
Our Malone is coming to Oceania! This time he will perform in Auckland, the capital of New Zealand. Since you're here, let's check out some must-visit attractions!
1. Sky Tower
The Sky Tower is a landmark of Auckland. It is integrated with other buildings to form the massive Sky City. The Sky Tower has three glass elevators that rise at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour, taking you to the observation deck and revolving restaurant at the top in just 40 seconds, where you can overlook the entire city of Auckland like an angel. It is recommended to go there in the evening, watch a beautiful sunset first, and as night falls, you can also overlook the night view of Auckland.
2. Mount Eden
Mount Eden is located about 5 kilometers south of Auckland's city center, with a height of 196 meters. It is one of the taller volcanic cones in Auckland and a natural high point of the city. There is a lookout at the summit, where you can enjoy the urban scenery of Auckland.
3. Queen Street
Queen Street is an important commercial street in Auckland. The street is about 3 kilometers long, starting from the Auckland waterfront area in the north to Karangahape Road in the south. The street was built in 1840 and named after Queen Victoria. Queen Street is the prime area of Auckland, and if you want to shop, you won't go wrong here.
November 21st is in the midst of the Southern Hemisphere's summer. Let's look forward to Malone's live performance and feel the charm of New Zealand~
