Xu Wei Art Museum & Qingteng Book House Stamp Collection Guide
Shaoxing is a water town in Jiangnan full of artistic atmosphere, with many talented people and famous people. When it comes to the most talented people, Xu Wei is definitely one of them. He is an undisputed artistic genius, with a famous writing style and a master of ink painting. The eccentric Zheng Banqiao once made a seal with the words "Qingteng's dog" on it.
🌟The Xu Wei Art Museum is a great place to learn about this talented man's life. While admiring his unparalleled artistic achievements, the museum's design is also very sophisticated, with a corner building, an open garden, and a black roof and floor. The dialogue between metal, glass, and stone shows the fusion of history and modernity.

✅I knew nothing about Xu Wei before I came here, but after I came here, I found out that Xu Wei, one of the three great talents of the Ming Dynasty, had made great achievements in painting, calligraphy, literature, opera, and military affairs, and was a great master. He was not only a great calligrapher of the era, but also a great poet and playwright of the Ming Dynasty, and the founder of the "Qingteng School of Painting", which has been famous for thousands of years. "Five hundred years of Xu Wei", how can a person be so talented!
✅Although Xu Wei was talented, he had a difficult life, and in his later years, he was poor and ended his life in a difficult situation as "a few rooms in a dilapidated house, a man with a southern accent and a northern accent".
✅The art museum has two floors, and the exquisite exhibition hall is simply amazing, bringing the beauty of light and shadow to the extreme. Walking here, I unconsciously lighten my steps, afraid of breaking the quiet artistic atmosphere here.
✅After visiting the art museum, don't forget to go to the Qingteng Book House across the street, where Xu Wei was born and studied. It is a small courtyard, still retaining the original Ming and Qing literati garden features, and is very photogenic!

There is a tea space at the entrance of Qingteng Book House, where you can enjoy a cup of tea and a space for your mind to relax. This is another reason to fall in love with Shaoxing!
