December is the best time to visit Lin'an, but the area is too large to cover in a day, so I only visited two places. 1. Lin'an Museum: The museum is currently exhibiting ancient Chinese jewelry. The first picture shows a replica of a Song dynasty phoenix crown, the second picture shows a beautiful phoenix hairpin, the third picture shows a gold hairpin as thin as a cicada's wing, and the fourth picture shows a poem by Su Shi, which says that Yuqian (Lin'an) does not follow Confucianism (I understand this to mean that Lin'an does not follow the patriarchal teachings, and women have a high status, which also shows that women in Zhejiang have been well-educated and respected since ancient times). The museum mainly exhibits cultural relics from the Qian family of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, as shown in pictures 5-7. The Qian family has produced many famous people over the past thousand years, including the three Qian scientists of modern China, who are the pride of Lin'an. The museum is also beautiful, with a unique architectural style. 2. Qingshan Lake Water Forest: In early to mid-December, the redwoods, blue sky, and green duckweed create a feast for the eyes.
