[2025 Lichuan Attraction] Travel Guide for Qingjiang Ancient Riverbed, Lichuan (Updated May)

Finally, it's time for a break after working for so long! Knowing that popular tourist spots would be overcrowded during the Golden Week, I decided to find a place that doesn't require an entrance fee and is relatively unknown. This place is called Qingjiang Ancient Riverbed, located at the border of Lichuan and Enshi Grand Canyon in Enshi Prefecture. After reading numerous travel guides, I got more confused, so I searched for Qingjiang Ancient Riverbed on Ctrip and found that there are guides available for consultation. I contacted a friendly young man who arranged transportation and a guide for us, making it very convenient. I decided to leave all the planning to them and just follow the guide, haha. Qingjiang Ancient Riverbed is situated in Lichuan City, Hubei Province. It's considered the backyard of Tenglong Cave and part of its second phase development. The trail starts at Tuanbao Fen Shui Village and ends at Bijia Mountain Village. This area is remote and uninhabited, featuring mountains with caves and caves within caves. Famous scenes from "The Wrath of the Ghosts" in "Candle in the Tomb: The Lost Canyon," "Novoland: Eagle Flag," and "Linglong" were filmed here. We took the essence route, which spans 4-5 kilometers and takes about four hours to complete. Raincoat (lightweight and handy in case of rain, though I hope it doesn't rain when you visit). 4. Shoe covers (choose ones you think are non-slip; useful on rainy days as the trail is natural and muddy. They are also sold at the entrance, but I hope it doesn't rain when you visit). 5. Avoid wearing high heels; during rainy days, avoid mesh shoes as they get muddy and are hard to clean, and avoid slippers due to the undeveloped, narrow paths. Shoe covers can be brought along. 2. Do not wear shorts or skirts as there are grass and thorns along the way. 3. Avoid carrying glass cups to prevent injuries from slipping and breaking. 4. Mobile and Unicom cards have no signal towers; only Telecom works. 5. During rainy days, avoid wearing wide-legged pants as they are difficult to walk in and will get muddy.

🌿 A hidden mysterious place in Lichuan, Hubei, the Qingjiang ancient riverbed, although not yet fully developed, has already made a name for itself in the hiking community. 🏞 This place boasts the spectacular Three Dragons Gate canyon, the primitive Qingjiang ancient riverbed, and a lush green grassland. The hiking difficulty is moderate, and if you have some basic training, you will find it even more relaxing. Even if the weather is not on our side, and the rain makes the paths slippery, I am still deeply attracted by the canyon scenery here, looking forward to coming back on a sunny day to explore more unknown beautiful sights. 🏡 During the journey, I chose the Colorful Gorge Homestay as my resting place. The owner's family is warm and hospitable, making me feel the warmth of home. Their homegrown corn, freshly picked peaches, and the delicious home-cooked meals made me linger and forget to return. What moved me even more was that when I was ready to brave the rain to leave, they were worried about the difficult mountain roads and personally drove me to the National Highway 318. The hiking fanatic took his family and friends to hike on the ancient riverbed I was very lucky and saw a beautiful sunset in the cave at around 5 o'clock. There was a lot of garbage on the way.
