[2025 Shanghai Attraction] Travel Guide for Qiantanyoucheng Park (Updated May)

As catchy as this post looks, I wanted to visit here after seeing many exciting and interesting photos of the ‘museum of ice cream’. After spending 40 minutes in a taxi to get here from my hotel, I was unsatisfied and disappointed at what I had seen in other promoters pictures to what was actually presented in front of me. On the outside of the mall, which sold very expensive branded items, was the museum of ice cream, an add on to Shake shack’s ice cream company. Unfortunately I did not go inside the museum as I was unaware that you had to pay to go in and experience it. As I was not willing to pay the price of 128¥, I did not go inside, but if you aren’t as stingy as me and want to experience a slide and some free ice cream, I hope you enjoy the experience! Qiantan Park and Youcheng Park feel like they are connected, located on the banks of the Huangpu River, overlooking Xuhui West Bund across the river. Newly built, the parks' facilities are all very modern, including skateboarding ramps, cycling paths, and running tracks, perfect for fitness enthusiasts to burn some calories. Many flowers have been planted in the park, and now is the perfect time to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. It's a pity that these cherry trees haven't been planted for very long. Although they are bursting with blossoms, the trees themselves are still young and lack the graceful shape of mature trees. In a few years, when the trees have grown, this cherry blossom grove should be even more beautiful. The park is filled with people exercising, walking their children, walking their dogs, and simply relaxing. It's a great place for a leisurely stroll and to enjoy the river breeze.
