1. Preliminary preparation:
• Documents: Bring your valid Mainland China ID card and other documents to purchase tickets and enjoy possible preferential policies. Special groups such as students, the elderly, active military personnel, people with disabilities, etc., please remember to bring relevant documents to enjoy ticket discounts or free tickets.
• Equipment:
• Wear comfortable sports shoes or hiking shoes, as there are many mountain trails on Qianshan Mountain, which require good grip and support.
• Prepare a light backpack and carry enough water and food. Prices in the scenic area are relatively high, and it is important to replenish water and energy. It is recommended to bring some high-energy foods such as chocolate, nuts, beef jerky, etc., as well as at least 1-2 liters of water.
• Prepare appropriate clothing according to weather conditions. For example, if you need sun protection on a sunny day, you can bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a sun hat, etc.; when it is cloudy or there is a possibility of rain, bring rain gear and warm clothing.
• Know in advance: You can learn about Qianshan’s history and culture, scenic spots and other information in advance to better explore. Reading some relevant travel guides or introductory articles can also increase your understanding and expectations of Qianshan.
2. Transportation Guide:
• Plane: If you take a plane, you can first arrive at Anshan Teng’ao Airport, and then take a 30-kilometer drive to the main gate of Qianshan. You can also choose to go to Shenyang Taoxian International Airport or Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport first, and then transfer to other means of transportation to Qianshan.
• train:
• You can take a regular train to Anshan Railway Station. After exiting the station, take bus No. 8 on Jianguo South Road opposite to reach the scenic spot directly.
• Take the high-speed rail and get off at Anshan West Station, then take bus No. 88 to Qianshan Scenic Area.
• Self-driving: Starting from different directions, you can follow the navigation instructions. If you start from Harbin, go south along the G1 Expressway, pass Changchun and Shenyang, turn to the G15 Shenda Expressway and enter Anshan, then get off the expressway at the Anshan exit and go directly to the main gate of Qianshan along Qianshan Road; if you start from Dalian, go north along the Shenda Expressway, get off the expressway at the Anshan exit and go directly to Qianshan along Qianshan Road; if you start from Beijing, go east along the G1 Expressway, pass Qinhuangdao, Jinzhou and other places, and change to the G16 Danxi Expressway after passing Jinzhou, get off the expressway at the Anshan exit after entering Anshan, and then take Qianshan Road to Qianshan; if you start from Dandong, go along the Danfu Expressway, turn to the Liaozhong Ring Expressway and get off the expressway at Liaoyang Shoushan, then go directly to Qianshan via Anshan Shahe Town and take the Anshan Outer Ring Road.
3. Tour route:
• One-day tour classic route: Wuliang Temple - East Pavilion - West Pavilion - Jiabian Stone - Tianshangtian - Crouching Tiger Peak - Yixiantian - Wugen Stone - Muyu Stone - Zuyue Temple. This route is beautiful and interesting. The entire walk takes about 3 to 4 hours. You can also choose to take the cable car to save time and effort. Along the way, you can enjoy the strange peaks and rocks, ancient buildings and other landscapes of Qianshan, and feel the integration of nature and humanity.
• One-day tour special forces-style check-in route: Wuliang Temple - East Pavilion - West Pavilion - Jiabianshi - Tianshangtian - Xiaohuangshan - Yizitian - Tianwaitian - Wufoding direction along Yulanshan - Wufoding - walk/ropeway down the mountain. The entire walk takes about 5 to 6 hours. If you have limited physical strength, you can go up the mountain from the Wufoding Cableway, go down the mountain from the Tianshangtian Cableway, or choose to go down the mountain towards Longquan Temple at Tianwaitian. This route allows you to visit many famous attractions in Qianshan, but it requires a lot of physical strength.
• One-day sightseeing and hiking route: along the wooden plank road - Wuliangguan Square - Lingyan Temple - Yuntan - Big Buddha Square - Tiancheng Maitreya Buddha - Big Buddha back mountain road - Yuantong Temple. This route allows you to see the natural wonder of the "Heavenly Maitreya Buddha". You can choose to take the cable car up the mountain and walk down the mountain, the whole journey takes about 2 hours; you can also walk up and down the mountain, the whole journey takes about 3 hours (the walking down the mountain road behind the Big Buddha has beautiful scenery, but it is somewhat challenging). If you have limited time and energy, you can also take the cable car to the observation deck and then walk down the mountain. The whole journey takes about 1 hour.
• Two-day tour route:
• Day 1: Choose the one-day tour route mentioned above to visit the core scenic area in the northern part of Qianshan, and choose the specific route according to your physical strength and interests.
• Day 2: Visit Xianren Terrace National Forest Park in the southern part of Qianshan, along the route of Wulong Palace - Xianren Terrace - Zhonghui Temple. The southern scenic area has beautiful natural scenery and numerous historical sites. The highest peak of Qianshan, Xianren Terrace, is located here, with an altitude of 708.8 meters. Climbing up to the Fairy Terrace, you can overlook all the mountains, which is refreshing. However, if your energy is limited, you can choose to walk to Wulong Palace and Zhonghui Temple to enjoy the beautiful scenery of ancient buildings and pear blossoms.
4. Food recommendations:
• Anshan Pie: It is a traditional delicacy of Anshan, with crispy crust and juicy filling. There are many flavors to choose from, such as pork, beef, leek, etc. It can be tasted in restaurants around Qianshan Scenic Area or snack bars in Anshan City.
• Nanguo Pear: A specialty fruit of Anshan, with bright color, delicate flesh, and sweet and sour taste. When visiting Qianshan, you can taste the fresh Nanguo pears or buy some as souvenirs.
• Iron pot stew: A specialty of Northeast China, it uses an iron pot as the cooking utensil to stew various ingredients such as fish, ribs, chicken, etc., and is paired with side dishes such as vermicelli, potatoes, beans, etc. It has a rich flavor and is very suitable for sharing with many people.
5. Other notes:
• Qianshan Scenic Area is large, so it is recommended to plan your tour route and time in advance to avoid missing important attractions or delaying your trip.
• It is prohibited to bring fire and flammable and explosive items into the scenic area. Smoking, picnicking and other activities using fire are strictly prohibited within the scenic area.
