Facing the Bund! The river view from this hotel in Shanghai is amazing.
Many netizens have asked me to recommend a hotel on the Bund, with a view of the three towers and high cost performance! After staying at the Pudong Shangri-La this time, I found it to be a good choice! A great spot for taking photos of the Bund!
The location is great, facing the Bund, with the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Aquarium right outside the door. For shopping, there are Super Brand Mall and IFC, and there is a subway nearby, making it convenient to visit attractions.
The hotel is divided into two buildings, the River Wing and the Grand Tower. The River Wing is closer to the Huangpu River, facing the panoramic view of the Bund. The facilities are a bit old, but I found it acceptable during my stay! The Grand Tower is more modern, but relatively farther from the river view. If I had to choose one, I would personally recommend the River Wing~
I stayed in a river view room this time, where I could see the Bund from the bed. Since I stayed in an executive room, I could enjoy the executive lounge benefits, including daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour with light meals. The lounge has a great view, facing the Oriental Pearl Tower, which is very close!
I have eaten at all three restaurants in the hotel
Jade on 36 Restaurant:
If you have a bigger budget, you can try it. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the Huangpu River. I suggest going early to enjoy the beautiful sunset, which is perfect for a date! By the way, I highly recommend the waiter Neils, who has won the Michelin Service Award~
If you don't want to eat, you can sit at the bar on the same floor and take photos with the Oriental Pearl Tower in the background!
2 Yi Cafe Buffet:
The food is very rich, and the ingredients are quite good. I have eaten there several times, and it is always busy. Recently, it has a Malaysian theme.
③ Gui Hua Lou
The greenery outside the floor-to-ceiling windows is beautiful. This restaurant is always run by the Chinese Executive Chef Gao, specializing in Huaiyang cuisine. It is very suitable for small gatherings with family and friends, and the cost performance is also good.
I personally think that for a price of just over 1,000, next to the Oriental Pearl Tower, with this view and transportation, the hotel has a high cost performance! You can try it again when you come to Shanghai~
