Pollok House and Garden & Burrell Collection
Transportation Tips - This time I chose the faster ScotRail, which takes only 9 minutes from Central station to Pollokshaws West. It takes 3 minutes to walk from the station to Pollok Country Park, and another 12 minutes to reach the Burrell Collection. The private collection is a 10-minute walk from Pollok Manor.
Local attractions - Figure 1-7 is the Tibetan Museum, open from 10:00 Monday to Saturday and 11:00 on Sunday. There are many famous Impressionist authentic works, Chinese porcelain, and Egyptian artifacts. Compared to the paintings, the collections are a bit ordinary, but the interaction is very interesting and you can learn a lot about the creation of artworks.
Hotels - You can stay in the center of Glasgow or somewhere close to a subway station.
Food and Restaurants - Be sure to go to the café in the exhibition hall for brunch when the sun is shining, but the desserts are average, and lunch is okay.
Walk out of the country park for 6 minutes to Eala Bhan restaurant. The burgers are average. The Cumberland sausage and mashed potato are recommended. Walk a little further for 16 minutes to The Dapper Mongoose. Scallop, haddock, pork belly, duck breast and lamb nuggets are recommended.
Shopping Guide-🤔 The souvenirs are all average, I don’t recommend buying them, just take more photos. If you really want to buy, you can buy canvas bags and dolls.
