France🇫🇷 Christmas Markets You Can’t Miss | Strasbourg
The Strasbourg Christmas Market in eastern France has been in existence since 1570. It is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe and is held from the end of November to December 24 every year. Every Christmas, many French people gather here to celebrate Christmas!
Even the daytime version of the Christmas market is already full of Christmas atmosphere, it feels like you have arrived in a fairy tale world! It is recommended to visit the main areas of Strasbourg's old town, including the Place Kléber, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Petite France area. After the lights were turned on, I was amazed. I have never seen such Christmas decorations. Even the big trees were covered with decorations, and many shops had bear cubs hanging outside. They were so cute!
Transportation: Getting to Strasbourg is super easy, just take a train from the city you want to depart from.
🔹From Zurich, Switzerland: Transfer in Basel, Switzerland, the journey takes almost two hours
🔹From Paris: Direct, two hours by car (please reserve a seat in advance if taking the French high-speed train TGV)
🔹From Germany: Take a half-hour train ride to Offenburg for a day trip. If you are departing from Offenburg, it is recommended to buy the "Europass 24H" at the counter of Offenburg Railway Station.
