Before visiting Malaga, I never knew that Picasso was born here! For art-lovers or even fans of Picasso or for those that just happen to be in Malag, do take some time to visit his museum which showcases quite a number of his artworks. The museum is located within the city centre and consists of 2 levels. Personally, I really like the architecture of the museum and how zen it makes me feel upon stepping through the doors. For tourists, do take note that big bags (for example: tote bags) and liquids like water are not allowed. Tickets can be bought online which may be useful as you can avoid the long queues upon reaching! On September 23, 2024, we visited the Picasso Museum in Malaga, Spain, Europe (where he was born). After queuing for about 40 minutes with a pre-booked ticket (94 RMB/person), we entered this special museum where Picasso was born. The museum is a two-story quadrangle with the first and second exhibition halls on the first and second floors. We not only appreciated the thousands of Picasso's works collected in the museum-including oil paintings, sketches, prints, pottery, etc., but also visited the original manuscripts of Picasso collected in the museum. After the visit, we felt that we had a deeper understanding of Picasso's artistic career and works.

If you have never been to Málaga📍, you will never truly understand 'Picasso'. I happened to catch the 'White Night' event, allowing me to enter the museum for free at night for the first time! Málaga is Picasso's birthplace🗺️, and here are many of his authentic works and drafts. The museum houses more than 3,500 of Picasso's works, ranging from oil paintings to sketches, prints, and ceramics, with a wide variety. I found that the night allows people to focus more! Emotions are also more easily immersed~ Not only can you feel his stubbornness, helplessness, rebellion, and nostalgia from the works, but you can also be inspired by the words and artistic views he left behind💪, feeling the 'unrestrained' heart of a passionate artist and the 'sharp' mind. Even though I don't know much about art, it was so much fun to listen to the stories related to the paintings through the audio guide. Although I don't remember anything right now, the Picasso Museum gave me a chance to find out more about who Picasso was and search for his famous works. I thought art museums were boring and uninteresting places, but the Picasso Museum was so much fun ^^

Granny Goo's 10th day of solo travel in Europe, 2/29 from Granada to Malaga, train AVANT 8935, 2h24m, walked 22443 steps. ⭐ Upon arrival in Malaga that day, visited the Malaga Picasso Museum (pictures 2-4) and the Cathedral (pictures 5-7). Granny Goo doesn't understand art, but since Malaga is Picasso's birthplace, it was a must-see. Unfortunately, the Picasso exhibition hall was closed, only displaying works by other artists. When asked why, the staff said that the museum closes for one month every year, and this year it will not open until March 19th. The regular ticket price is 12 euros, but during the closure of the Picasso exhibit, the ticket is 9 euros. ⭐ The Malaga Cathedral ticket is a bit pricey at 10 euros. Coming out of the cathedral, it was already past six o'clock, and the sun was still shining brightly. Wandering aimlessly, stumbled upon the castle, the University of Malaga, the ancient Roman theater, the town hall, and the port. ⭐ The next day, traveled from Malaga to Ronda and back, and after returning from Ronda, climbed the castle (ALCAZABA) (pictures 9-10), strolled on the beach, citywalk 25000 steps. The castle is built on a hillside in the center of Malaga. The Malaga Castle is an outstanding representation of Islamic civilization, with many porches, towers, gardens, and courtyards full of Muslim charm. The view of the port and the city from the castle is breathtaking. ⭐ The Malaga beach is beautiful (pictures 12-14), but the sand is gray-black and coarse. Under the glow of the setting sun, many locals were relaxing and entertaining on the beach, some playing beach volleyball, others sitting around playing cards. ⭐⭐ Malaga (Málaga) is a small city located on the Costa del Sol in the Mediterranean, in southern Andalusia, Spain, with a population of less than 600,000, making it Spain's second-largest Mediterranean port. It is situated between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, and between Europe and Africa. From the ancient Roman amphitheater of the 3rd century, the Muslim castle of the 6th century, to the church of the 8th century converted from a mosque, etc. Like Granada, Malaga is filled with traces of Islamic culture. The history and beauty of Malaga are worth your visit.
