Phu Ta Cho sea of mist viewpoint
Phu Ta Cho, the highest mountain in Phang Nga Province, is 1,350 meters high. There is a viewpoint where you can see a 360-degree view. There are also beautiful fog and cold weather, making this place a constant stream of tourists. In addition to the beautiful view, you can also camp, cook, and watch the sea of fog and the sunrise and sunset. The highlight of Phu Ta Cho is the experience of the sunset amidst the forest. To the west, you can see the Andaman Sea. In the morning, in addition to the view of the morning sun, you will also experience the cold weather and the beautiful sea of fog. The average temperature is 15-20 degrees Celsius. Phu Ta Cho is located in the Ton Pariwat Wildlife Sanctuary, which used to be an old tin mine called the Ta Cho Mine. Ta Cho, or Mr. Cho, was the first pioneer who came to mine until the end of the tin mining era, when the area was abandoned, and it was turned into a natural and adventure tourist attraction. And at present, it has become one of the top spots for viewing the sea of mist and the sunrise in the South.

Phu Ta Jo, Kapong, Phang Nga Province
Last week, I went trail running at Phu Ta Jo in Kapong, Phang Nga Province. The round trip was 23 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1,080 meters. The path was wide and comfortable, thanks to the 4WD tour service that took us to the campsite at the top to enjoy a 360° sea of mist. The atmosphere along the way was misty throughout, pleasantly cool with occasional breezes. The view at the top was completely covered in mist, creating a unique beauty despite the overcast sky. Importantly, there was the Ton Ton Mak waterfall where you could refresh yourself after a tiring run. It was very invigorating.
During the summer, in February, the weather can be hot at times. Upon reaching the viewpoint, you can see the mountains layered in front of you and the camping spots below.
Travel
We drove from Krabi to Phang Nga town and then to Kapong (there is a shortcut to Khao Nang Hong, but we avoided it due to the rough road conditions and opted for the city route instead, approximately 100 km from Krabi).
Address: Le Subdistrict, Kapong District, Phang Nga Province.
