Pha Taem National Park is the easternmost national park in Thailand. You can watch the sunrise here as the first place in Thailand. It is located in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Interesting points are the prehistoric paintings at Pha Taem and the first sunrise spot in Siam.
Pha Taem National Park covers an area of approximately 340 square kilometers, covering the areas of Khong Chiam District, Si Mueang Mai District, and Pho Sai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. It consists of a rich forest, various types of wildlife, and many beautiful natural landmarks, such as Pha Chan, Soi Sawan Waterfall, Sao Cheliang, Tham Patihan, Phu Na Tham, etc. In addition, prehistoric paintings, approximately 3,000-4,000 years old, have been discovered at Pha Kham, Pha Taem, Pha Chek, and Pha Mei. It is considered the first national park in Thailand with the Mekong River, which is the longest border between Thailand and Laos, providing a clear view of the forest and mountains on the Lao side.
