Natural scenery
Peak District National Park is the largest national park in the UK. It has open moorland, beautiful river valleys and picturesque villages. It is a piece of pure land away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also an ideal place for walking, hiking, caving, rock climbing and cycling. The Monsal Trail in the park extends along the abandoned railway line. The flat path is suitable for family cycling; Thor's Cave limestone cave hangs on the cliff, providing a unique experience for caving enthusiasts. The meadows and sculpture gardens around Chatsworth House complement each other, and the stepping stone streams and heart-shaped caves in the Dovedale Valley are a good place for photography. In spring, the heather sea is all over the mountains, and in autumn, the mist-shrouded wilderness is full of mysterious atmosphere. There are many viewing platforms in the park overlooking the cascading terraces of the Edale Valley, and the Stanage Edge cliff is the filming location of "Pride and Prejudice".
